Attempted theft from bookstore A DU staff member reported a theft from the Bookstore to Campus Safety on Monday, Jan. 26, at 11:44 a.m.
A student had attempted to remove DU merchandise from the store.
The Denver Police Department was not notified.
Student’s RTD Eco Pass stolen
A theft was reported to Campus Safety by a DU student at the Daniels College of Business at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28. The student had lost her DU identification earlier in the week.
When the ID was found and returned to the student, she realized that her RTD Eco Pass had been removed from the card.
Nelson residents deny party
Campus Safety reported to Nelson Hall Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 10:14 p.m. in response to a noise complaint.
Further investigation revealed six students in one of the residence hall rooms. The residents of the room would not cooperate with the investigation and all the students denied having had a party.
The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Marijuana

Nagel
Two students were caught smoking marijuana in Nagel Hall on Friday, Jan. 30, at 1:03 a.m.
They were discovered by Campus Safety after someone reported the odor of marijuana coming from the room.
One of the students reported back pain and was transported to Porter Hospital by paramedics for treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Bicycle collides with student
An injury near Ben Cherrington Hall was reported to Campus Safety on Friday, Jan. 30, at 3:32 p.m. after a DU student riding his bicycle on the sidewalk in front of the building hit another student.
Although there were minor injuries both students declined medical assistance.
Risk Management was notified.
Verbal altercation diffused
The Police Department and Campus Safety responded to a reported domestic dispute on the 2000 block of East Buchtel Boulevard at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31.
Further investigation revealed that two students were involved in a verbal altercation.
The Offices of Gender Violence and Education Support Services and Citizenship and Community Standards were notified.
Drug denial
Two students were caught with drug paraphernalia by Campus Safety on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 9:55 p.m. in Nelson Hall.
Despite the strong smell of marijuana in the room, both students denied having used drugs.
Campus Safety confiscated the contraband.
Alcohol found in student’s dorm
The odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room at Centennial Towers was reported to Campus Safety at 12:11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1.
An underage student and two underage males who are not affiliated with the university were discovered in the room. No marijuana was in sight but several alcohol containers were. Campus Safety confiscated and disposed of the contraband.
The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards was notified.
