Paraphernalia found
On Friday, March 30, at 8:17 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of drug paraphernalia in parking lot H2 near Ben Cherrington Hall.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member found paraphernalia near a vehicle parked in the lot.
Campus Safety confiscated the paraphernalia. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Car accident near Sturm
On Friday, March 30, at 5:47 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a traffic accident near Sturm Hall.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member was driving a University-owned vehicle when he backed into a handrail attached to Sturm Hall.
Minor damage and no injuries were reported. Risk Management will be notified.
Theft from vehicle
On Friday, March 30, at 6:35 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft from a vehicle in parking lot C near Centennial Halls.
An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) entered an unsecured vehicle belonging to a DU staff member between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The staff member reported miscellaneous personal items were missing. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Watch missing
On Saturday, March 31, at 12:35 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at the Coors Fitness Center.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left a watch unsecured and unattended on a treadmill at 11:20 a.m. When she returned at 12:00 p.m. to retrieve the watch, she discovered it was missing.
The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Backpack theft
On Saturday, March 31, at 1:40 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at El Pomar Natatorium.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left a backpack in an unsecured and unattended office at 9:30 a.m.
When the student returned at 12:15 p.m. she discovered the backpack was missing.
The student filed a report with the Denver Police Department. An investigation is ongoing.
Theft at Nelson Hall
On Sunday, April 1, at 2:09 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Nelson Hall.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left her personal belongings unsecured and unattended in a study room at 1:55 p.m.
When she returned at 2:00 p.m. she discovered her wallet was missing.
The student filed a report with the Denver Police Department. An investigation is ongoing.
Bicycle stolen
On Monday, April 2, at 4 p.m. a DU student reported a bicycle theft from a bicycle rack at Centennial Towers.
A Campus Safety report revealed the student secured her bicycle to the rack with an unapproved lock during the week of March 2.
The student returned to retrieve the bicycle a couple of weeks later and discovered it was missing. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Electronic items stolen
On Wednesday, April 4, at 11:40 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Boettcher Center East.
A DU staff member reported person(s) unknown removed university-owned electronic equipment and personal items from a secured office between March 16 and March 20. There were no signs of forced entry. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Rock thrown through car window
On Wednesday, April 4, at 7:52 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of vandalism in parking lot D near the Daniels College of Business.
An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown broke the window of a personal vehicle belonging to a DU student with a rock. The student reported the vandalism occurred between 6 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.
No items were missing from the vehicle. The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Injured ankle
On Wednesday, April 4, at 8:35 p.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an injured party in parking lot 119 near the physics building.
An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party fell and injured his ankle. Paramedics transported the party to Porter hospital for medical treatment. Rick Management will be notified.
Theft at Schwayder
On Thursday, April 5, at 9:22 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Schwayder Art Building. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left her personal belongings with an unidentified party at 8:30 p.m.
When she returned several minutes later to retrieve the items, she discovered her purse was missing.
The party left the area prior to Campus Safety arrival.
The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department. An investigation is ongoing.
Ill party at Centennial Halls
On Friday, April 6, at 1:28 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an ill party at Centennial Halls.
An on scene investigation revealed the party was an underage and intoxicated DU student.
The Graduate Resident Director determined the student was not severely intoxicated and allowed the student to return to his residence hall room. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
