Robbery, suspect escapes

On Thursday, March 29, at 2 a.m. a student reported that he was robbed of his wallet while walking in the 1900 block of South High Street, near the corner of Asbury Avenue.

The suspect told the student that he had a gun but did not show it. After taking the wallet, the suspect ran south on High street.

A check of the area for the suspect by Denver Police and Campus Safety met with negative results. A Denver Police and Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Vandalism at worksite

On Friday, March 16, an unaffiliated party reported vandalism at the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity house construction site.

A Campus Safety report revealed person(s) unknown spray painted construction equipment between Thursday, March 15, at 4:30 p.m. and Friday, March 16, at 6:30 a.m. Denver Police assistance was declined. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Suspicious male arrested

On Wednesday, March 21, at 10:35 p.m. Campus Safety and Denver Police responded to the report of two suspicious people at the Cable Center.

An on-scene investigation revealed both men were unaffiliated with DU. Denver Police arrested these men for an outstanding warrant.

The female did not have any outstanding warrants and was released. Both were removed from campus. Campus Safety completed a report.

Traffic accident

On Friday, March 23, at 2:29 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a traffic accident at the Facilities Service Building parking lot.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member driving a university-owned vehicle was pulling into a parking space when he struck another university-owned vehicle.

No injuries and minor damage were reported. Risk Management will be notified.

Trampoline accident

On Friday, March 23 at 1:29 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an injured youth at Gates Field House.

An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated minor was using a trampoline when he injured his wrist.

The minor’s parent was present and transported him to an unknown hospital for medical treatment. Risk Management will be notified.

Harassment in Nelson

On March 26, at 1:15 p.m. a DU student reported harassment at Nelson Hall.

The student reported a Sodexho staff member took photos of her with a camera phone on March 14, at 5:15 p.m. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Underage student drunk

On Monday, March 26, at 2:56 a.m. Campus Safety and Denver Police responded to the report of an ill student at Centennial Halls.

An on-scene investigation found an underage DU student who was severely intoxicated.

Denver Cares transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

BB gun fired in hallway

On Monday, March 26, at 3:34 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of contraband at Centennial Halls.

An on-scene investigation revealed that on Sunday, March 25, at 1:35 a.m. a resident assistant observed a DU student fire a BB gun at an unaffiliated party in a hallway. The resident assistant took possession of the BB gun and turned it over to Campus Safety.

The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Parked car collision

On Tuesday, March 27, at 8:10 p.m. a student reported that person(s) unknown struck and damaged her vehicle while it was parked in the Nelson Hall parking garage.

There was minor damage reported. A search for the vehicle that caused the damage was not successful.

The student was advised to report the incident to Denver Police.

Injured student taken to Porter Hospital

On Wednesday, March 28, at 12:32 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the 1700 blockof South Williams Street on the report of a fight in progress.

The fight had broken up prior to arrival of the officers.

Contact was made with a DU student at a residence on South Williams Street. The student was found to have been injured and had consumed alcohol. Paramedics were called and responded.

The student was taken to Porter Hospital for further treatment. Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Student found intoxicated

On Wednesday, March 28, at 2:15 a.m. a DU student/staff member contacted Campus Safety regarding an intoxicated male student at Centennial Halls.

Upon contact, the student was found to be underage and admitted to consuming illegal and prescription drugs, in addition to alcohol.

The student was transported to Porter Hospital for treatment.

Ill student at Centennial Halls

On Wednesday, March 28, at 2:15 a.m. HRE staff reported to Campus Safety that there was a male student intoxicated and ill in a bathroom at Centennial Halls. Denver Police was contacted for assistance.

The student was transported to the Denver Cares detox facility for further evaluation.

Student found intoxicated in Johnson-McFarlane

On Friday, March 30, at 12:47 a.m. Campus Safety and Denver Paramedics responded to the report of an ill and intoxicated student at Johnson McFarlane Hall.

The student was determined to be underage and in need of further medical treatment. The student was transported to Porter Hospital. Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
