Truck strikes indicator

On Thursday, April 12, at 8:25 a.m. Campus Safety officers were conducting a routine patrol near the Tennis Pavilion when they observed a traffic accident in parking lot T. An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party driving a large truck into the lot and struck the height indicator at the entrance. Minor damage and no injuries were reported. Risk Management will be notified.

Suspicious party arrested

On Thursday, April 12, at 4:18 p.m. a DU staff member reported a suspicious party in Sturm Hall. The party was identified as an unaffiliated party who was previously removed from campus. Denver Police Department responded and arrested the party for trespassing. Campus Safety completed a report.

Students cause disturbance in Joy Burns

On Thursday, April 12, at 9:57 p.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Police Department responded to the report of a suspicious party at the Joy Burns Arena. An on-scene investigation revealed two severely intoxicated DU students were causing a disturbance in the arena.

The Denver Police Department took both students into custody. One student was cited for disorderly conduct and the other student was cited for interference with law enforcement. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Intoxicated student taken for medical treatment

On Friday, April 13, at 2:10 a.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Police Department responded to the report of an intoxicated party at Johnson-MacFarlane Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed the party was an underage and severely intoxicated DU student. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Student breaks gate arm

On Friday, April 13, at 2:16 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol near the Ritchie Center when he observed a party breaking the gate arm in parking lot 401. Officers contacted the severely intoxicated party who was identified as a DU student. Denver Police Department transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Caught with university property

On Sunday, April 15, at 12:02 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol in the Metallurgy building when he observed a suspicious party. An on-scene investigation revealed the unaffiliated party was in possession of university property. Officers confiscated the property and escorted the party from the building. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Theft from parked vehicle

On Sunday, April 15, at 11:15 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft in the 2200 block of South High Street. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown had broken into a vehicle belonging to a DU student between 9 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. The student declined Campus Safety or Denver Police Department assistance. Campus Safety completed a report.

Sexual assault on sidewalk

On Monday, April 16, at 11:34 a.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Police Department responded to the report of a sexual assault in the 2300 block of S. York Street.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student was walking eastbound on the sidewalk when she was forcibly fondled by an unidentified male. The male fled the area prior to Campus Safety and Denver Police arrival. The student declined medical assistance. Campus Safety and Denver Police Department investigations are ongoing.

Student spray paints car

On Monday, April 16, at 12:19 p.m. a DU staff member reported vandalism at the Centennial Halls loading dock. A Campus Safety report revealed person(s) unknown spray-painted a university-owned vehicle parked at the loading dock between Friday, April 13, and Monday, April 16, 2007. A Campus Safety investigation is on going.

Harassment in Jazzman’s

On Monday, April 16, at 5:38 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of harassment at the Driscoll Center. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student was at Jazzman’s CafCB) when she was verbally harassed by another DU student. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

On Tuesday, April 17, at 8:25 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of harassment at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed two Resident Assistants received harassing emails from a DU student. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Upset student at Sturm

On Tuesday, April 17, at 8:53 p.m. an unidentified party requested a welfare check at Sturm Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student in the fourth floor restroom was visibly upset. The student was connected with the counselor on call and escorted to Nelson Hall. Campus Safety completed a report.

Light-headed student at Ritchie Center

On Tuesday, April 17, at 6:12 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an ill party at The Ritchie Center. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student felt light-headed during an exercise class. The student was driven to Porter hospital by a friend driving a personal vehicle. Campus Safety completed a report.
