Wheel of Fortune

The game show “Wheel of Fortune” will be celebrating college week. The show is taping in Denver in late March for this special series.

Blood drive today

The Chi Phi Fraternity is hosting its 3rd Annual Community Blood Drive today. The blood drive will be held at the Chi Phi Fraternity (New Row), 2455 E. Asbury Ave by the Bonfils Blood Center.

Get cultured for free

Admission is free for all Colorado residents tomorrow at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Skate with the team

Tonight from 7:30 – 9 p.m. as part of the Winter Carnival celebration, students are invited to join the hockey team in a free skate in Magness Arena.

Come to the Joy Burns lobby to get your skates and enjoy some hot chocolate and apple cider.

Chili cook off

Also part of the Winter Carnival celebration, students are invited to come by on Driscoll bridge to sample the chili entries of those competing in the chili cook off. Tommorow from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Keystone weekend

For the last event for this year’s Winter Carnival DUPB will hold a weekend at Keystone ski resort for this weekend. Students must register in groups of six to get dicounts on the condominiums.

Pre-buy flowers for loved ones on Driscoll Bridge Feb. 8, 9, 13, and 14. Prices are $2/single rose, $20/dozen, and $35/ 2 dozen. Share the love.

Chancellor’s Roundtable

There will be a chancellor’s roundtable Thursday, Feb. 9 from 2 – 4 p.m. in room 1880 of the Driscoll Center.

This event provides an opportunity for all students to meet with Chancellor Coombe in a casual atmosphere to discuss their concerns and ideas for the University of Denver.

Kiss Away Cancer

Thursday, Feb. 9, Sigma Chi is holding a “Kiss Away Cancer” fundraiser bar party. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. Buses will pick up students at the art building at 9:30 p.m. Balloon drop at midnight!

Pop and Papa weekend

Feb. 10-11 marks this year’s Dads and Granddads Weekend. To honor this event, popular musical artist John Hiatt will perform with his daughter Lilly Hiatt in Davis Auditorium in Sturm Hall on Friday, Feb. 10 from 4-5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $10 and are available at the front desks of both Campus Life and The Center.

Career Fair

The Winter Career and Internship Fair will be held Wednesday, Feb. 15 from 3 – 6 p.m. in the Driscoll Ballroom.More than 50 employers will be participating. All DU students and alumni are invited to attend. See www.du.edu/career for details and a list of employers.

PeaceJam needs you!

May 17-18, DU will once again host the PeaceJam Youth Conference.

This unique event brings together over 300 high school age youth who are committed to working for positive change in their schools, communities, and the world.
