Staff member reports harassment
On Thursday, April 25, at 2:42 p.m. a DU staff member reported harassment. A Campus Safety report revealed the staff member has a temporary restraining order in place against an unaffiliated party. Campus Safety completed a report.
Unidentified substance found on vehicle
On Wednesday, April 25, at 10:13 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of vandalism in parking lot N near Nelson Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student found an unidentified substance on her vehicle. The damage occurred between April 24, at 11:00 p.m. and April 25, at 5:00 p.m. It was later determined the substance was dripping from the parking garage. Risk Management will be notified.
Harassing phone calls made to staff member
On Thursday, April 26, at 4:32 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of harassment at Sturm Hall. An on scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party had been making harassing phone calls to a DU staff member between April 23 and April 26. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing
Marijuana odor
On Thursday, April 26, at 11:15 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed there was a strong odor in the room. Two DU students were in the room but denied using marijuana, and there was no contraband in plain view. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Traffic accident
On Thursday, April 26, at 12:13 p.m. a DU staff member reported a traffic accident in the 800 block of South Colorado Boulevard. A Campus Safety report revealed a DU staff member was driving a university-owned vehicle when she backed into a parked vehicle belonging to an unaffiliated party. Minor damage and no injuries were reported. Risk Management has been notified.
Intoxicated student has stomach pains
On Friday, April 27, at 2:22 a.m. Campus Safety, the Denver Police Department and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an ill party at Centennial Towers. An on-scene investigation revealed an underage and intoxicated DU student was experiencing stomach pain. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Cell phone, MP3 player lost
On Friday, April 27, at 8:17 p.m. a DU student reported lost electronic equipment at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. A Campus Safety report revealed the student lost his cellular phone in the dining room on April 25, at 6:50 p.m. The student also reported an MP3 player went missing between April 26 and April 27. Campus Safety completed a report.
Party drives over child’s ankle
On Saturday, April 28, at 7:03 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an injured party in the circle drive north of the Ritchie Center. An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party accidentally drove over her child’s ankle. The Denver Police Department issued the party a citation. The child was transported to Children’s Hospital for medical treatment. Risk Management will be notified.
Vandalism at Beta Theta Pi
On Saturday, April 28, at 9:35 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of vandalism at the Beta Theta Pi fraternity house. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown vandalized the interior and exterior of the building.
Two glass window panes were removed from the east side of the building and several other items were damaged. A DU student who resides in the house filed a report with the Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Altercation between staff
On Saturday, April 28, at 1:49 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a disturbance in parking lot E near the Campus Safety Center. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member and an Argus security staff member had a verbal altercation regarding an improperly parked vehicle. Campus Safety completed a report.
Vehicle vandalism
On Tuesday, May 1, at 12:25 p.m. a DU student reported a theft in parking lot 118 near the Seeley Mudd Building. A Campus Safety report revealed a DU student parked his personal vehicle in the lot on April 29, at 10 p.m. When he returned on May 1, at 12:20 p.m. he discovered person(s) unknown broke the driver’s side window of the vehicle.
Electronic equipment was reported missing. The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Inappropriate behavior
On Wednesday, May 2, at 11:10 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a suspicious party at the College of Law. An on-scene investigation revealed an unidentified male was behaving inappropriately in the library. The male fled the area prior to Campus Safety arrival but was later observed leaving campus. Campus Safety completed a report.
Student receives harassing phone calls
On Wednesday, May 2, at 6 p.m. a DU student reported harassment. A Campus Safety report revealed a DU student was receiving harassing telephone calls and email messages from an unaffiliated party. The student was advised to contact the Denver Police Department. Campus Safety completed a report.
Items in women’s locker room out of place
On Thursday, May 3, at 1:45 a.m. Campus Safety responded to an intrusion alarm at the Tennis Pavilion. An on-scene investigation revealed items in the women’s locker room were out of place. No one was found in the immediate area and there were no signs of forced entry. It is unknown if any items were missing from the locker room. Custodial Services was notified. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
