Give us beer!

On Saturday, Jan. 21, at 1:54 a.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of a disturbance at Theta Chi fraternity house.

A Campus Safety report revealed that two DU students came to the house demanding alcohol and behaving inappropriately.

The students left the area prior to Campus Safety arrival. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Flowers overturned

On Sunday, Jan. 22, at 6:33 p.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of vandalism at the Driscoll Center.

An on scene investigation revealed that two unidentified males pushed a flower pot from the second floor of Driscoll South. No other damage was reported. A Campus Safety investigation is on going.

Selling pot

On Monday, Jan. 23, Campus Safety responded to the report of a DU student selling marijuana from his residence hall room at Centennial Halls.

An on scene investigation revealed no marijuana or drug paraphernalia in the room. A Campus Safety investigation is on going.

Stolen gloves

On Monday, Jan. 23, at 8:23 a.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of theft at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member left a pair of gloves on top of a recycle bin.

He returned to retrieve them several minutes later and found they were missing. Denver Police Department assistance was declined.

Slippin’ and fallin’

On Monday, Jan. 23, at 6:05 p.m., Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an injured party at the Performing Arts Center.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member slipped on ice while she was walking on the east side of the Newman Center.

Paramedics transported the staff member to Porter Hospital for medical treatment.

J-Mac stowaway

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, Campus Safety was contacted by the Denver Police Department regarding a runaway suspected at Johnson-McFarlane Hall.

An on-scene investigation revealed the party was at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. The Denver Police Department took the party into custody.

Car accident

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 6:10 p.m., Campus Safety and the Denver Police Department responded to the report of a traffic accident in the 2300 block of East Iliff Avenue.

An on-scene investigation revealed a vehicle belonging to a DU student parked in a loading zone was struck by a Sodexho truck. Minor damage and no injuries were reported. Risk Management will be notified.

Skater wiped out

On Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 9:05 p.m., Campus Safety officers were conducting a routine patrol near Centennial Towers when they discovered a party receiving first aid at the entrance of Centennial Towers.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student was skateboarding near the Cable Center when he hit a hole in the road and fell.

He had cuts on his wrist and hand. The student was given first aid and advised to seek treatment at the Student Health Center if necessary.

Traped in elevator

On Thursday, Jan. 26, at 2:30 a.m., Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of a party stuck in an elevator at Centennial Halls.

The Denver Fire Department opened the elevators and released the unidentified party inside. No injuries were reported. Facilities Management was notified.

Computer stolen

On Thursday, Jan. 26, at 3:30 p.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of theft at the Daniels College of Business.

An on-scene investigation revealed a personal PC belonging to a DU staff member was taken from a coat that was left unattended in an unsecured office.

The theft occurred between Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 9 a.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 10 p.m. The staff member was advised he could file a report with the Denver Police Department.

Crazy alcoholic

On Friday, Jan. 27, at 2 a.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of an intoxicated party at Centennial Halls.

An on-scene investigation revealed an underage and intoxicated DU student assaulted a DU staff member and a DU student while they were trying to calm her down as she was ransacking her residence hall room.

The student was uncooperative with Campus Safety officers. Denver Cares transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Elevator exit trouble

On Friday, Jan. 27, at 1:08 a.m., Campus Safety observed a party that appeared to be intoxicated in an elevator at Centennial Halls.

An on-scene investigation revealed an underage and intoxicated DU student had slurred speech and difficulty exiting the elevator. Denver Cares transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
