As an alumnus from the eighties who flew back to Denver for the Homecoming Weekend I would like to congratulate everyone at DU for a fantastic weekend. It was great to see the Student Section at the Hockey game supporting our team. I think that the common theme of every alum I spoke to was “awe” at the transformation of our university.

I would also like to add my support for the AUSA Senate proposal to revive the Bleacher Creatures and school spirit. I helped found the Bleacher Creatures in the Eighties and the experience transformed my life. The Bleacher Creatures became such a force at the hockey games that for several years the University of Minnesota would only play DU during the Christmas Break to avoid the DU students (True story, but many details have been left out since this is a family newspaper).
