Dodgeball disaster

On Saturday, Dec. 4 at 1:12 p.m., a DU staff member reported an unaffiliated female injured herself playing dodgeball at the Ritchie Center. Campus Safety, Denver Fire Department and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the female to Porter Hospital for treatment.

Improper e-mail

On Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 9:41 p.m., a DU staff member reported that he received an inappropriate e-mail from a DU student at his office in the Daniels College of Business. A Campus Safety officer responded and completed an investigation. The incident was referred to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition.

Insubordinate staff

On Monday, Dec. 13, at 4:28 a.m. a DU staff member reported another staff member was insubordinate at the Ritchie Center. Campus Safety responded and escorted the alleged insubordinate staff member out of the Ritchie Center without incident.

Soda vandals

On Monday, Dec. 13, at 2:09 p.m. a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) vandalized a soda machine at University Apartments. A Campus Safety and Denver police investigation is ongoing.

Batty interloper

On Thursday, Dec. 30, at 6:05 p.m. a Campus Safety officer reported an unaffiliated adult female was trespassing at Driscoll North. Denver police responded and transported the female to Lutheran Hospital for mental health evaluation.

Found money

On Monday, Jan. 3, at 4 p.m. a DU staff member found money outside of the Margery Reed Hall building. The money was turned in to Campus Safety for safekeeping.

Penrose suspect

On Tuesday, Jan.4, at 10:46 a.m. a DU staff member reported that an unknown male failed to stop when requested after a door alarm sounded at Penrose Library. Campus Safety was called and responded. A search of the area for the male met with negative results.

Brew bomb

On Thursday, Jan. 6, at 11 p.m. a DU staff member reported that an unknown male threw beer at the front desk staff at Nelson Hall. Campus Safety was called and responded. The male departed the area prior to Campus Safety’s arrival. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
