The University of Denver’s newest sorority will be moving across Evans Avenue this summer to the house currently occupied by Colorado Public Radio on South Josephine Street.
The chapter’s new house is located next to Gamma Phi Beta’s chapter house.
This move comes at an incredible time of growth for Tri Delta.
The chapter has 70 members and the new house will be large enough to allow 28 women to live in it each year.
Tri Delta’s current chapter house is only large enough to hold 14 women.
This move will also provide members with a large chapter room and other facilities.
The DU chapter has worked extremely hard for this opportunity and is very excited.
“This house is a great opportunity for our chapter,” said Chapter President Tina Papantonakis.”
“We have worked very hard for the past four years to establish ourselves on campus and this will only help us strengthen our presence in the Greek community.”
Renovations on the house will begin June 4, when the lease held by Colorado Public Radio ends.
The house will undergo major renovations to add an industrial style kitchen, bedrooms, a chapter room and other multi-purpose rooms.
The women of Tri Delta plan to have the house fully equipped by Sept. 1.
This will be in time for fall recruitment for the sorority.
