Harassment bye-mail A DU staff member filed a report of harassment with Campus Safety on Monday at 6:33 a.m. The staff member reported receiving harassing e-mails from a party that is unaffiliated with the university. The staff member was advised to contact the Denver Police Department.
Theft from Coors Fitness Center A theft at the Coors Fitness Center was reported on Monday at 6:24 p.m. A student left personal belongings unsecured in a cubby on the first floor of the fitness center. When she returned to collect them two hours later she discovered they were missing. Campus Safety advised the student to file a report with the Denver Police Department.
Student vehicle vandalized A student reported vandalism in the N parking lot near Nelson Hall at 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday. The student parked his vehicle in the lot at 12 p.m. on Nov. 15. When he returned to the vehicle on Monday, he found that the exterior of the vehicle had been vandalized.
Student caught shoplifting A student was caught attempting to shoplift from the campus bookstore on Tuesday at 6:47 p.m. Campus Safety issued a citation for shoplifting to the student and notified the Office of Citizenship and Community Standards.
Student injured at Barton field Campus Safety was called in on the report of an injured party at Centennial Halls at 9:18 p.m. on Wednesday. A student had injured his chin during a game of Frisbee at the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. The student was taken to Denver Health Medical Center for treatment.
Underage student arrested Campus Safety encountered an underage and intoxicated student at Centennial Halls at 1:14 a.m. on Friday while conducting an investigation. The student was in possession of an alcoholic beverage and a fake identification card. The Denver Police Department arrested the student and charged him for being a minor in possession of alcohol and for possession of false identification.
Marijuana smell in Nagel room Campus safety received a report of the odor of marijuana coming from a dorm room at Nagel Hall at 3:37 a.m. on Friday. Campus Safety found two students in the room and observed a strong smell of marijuana. No drug paraphernalia was in plain sight. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards was notified.
Fake ID found in lost property Campus Safety was called in to secure found property at Magness Arena at 5:55 a.m. on Friday. An inspection of the property, which belonged to a DU student, revealed a fake identification card. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards was notified.
Elevator belt overheated Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm at the Seely G Mudd Building on Sunday at 12:47 p.m. Smoke was coming from an overheated elevator belt in the lobby. No fire was present. Facilities Management was notified.
