RAs bust room
On Friday, Feb. 9, at 7:58 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of contraband in a residence hall room at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed two resident assistants were conducting a routine check of the room when they observed alcohol containers in plain view. Campus Safety disposed of the contraband. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Check stolen
On Friday, Feb. 9, at 10:58 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Taylor Hall. An Iliff School student reported a check was taken from her apartment between Feb. 3, at 6 p.m. and Feb. 5, at 10:30 a.m.
It is unknown if the residence was secured. Denver Police Department assistance was declined. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Fender bender
On Friday, Feb. 9, at 1:40 p.m. an unaffiliated party reported a hit-and-run traffic accident in parking lot H1. A Campus Safety report revealed the party parked his personal vehicle in the lot at 6 p.m.
When he returned at 9:45 p.m. he discovered the left front fender was damaged. There are no suspects at this time. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Beyond drunk
On Saturday, Feb. 10, at 1:30 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an ill student at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed an underage DU student and an underage unaffiliated party were severely intoxicated.
Denver Cares responded and transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Graduate Resident Director allowed the unaffiliated party to remain in a residence hall room for the evening. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Detox hangover
On Saturday, Feb. 11, at 12:17 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an ill student at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed an underage DU student was intoxicated.
Denver Cares transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Tryin’ to rumble with officers
On Sunday, Feb. 11, at 1:15 a.m. Campus Safety responded to a noise complaint at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed an underage DU student and an underage unaffiliated party were intoxicated.
The unaffiliated party was combative with officers and was escorted from campus. The student voluntarily left campus. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Pot stench
On Monday, Feb. 12, at 1:45 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room at Centennial Halls.
An on-scene investigation revealed three DU students were in the room but denied using marijuana.
Two Campus Safety officers and a Resident Assistant confirmed a heavy odor of marijuana was present. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Cubby theft
On Monday, Feb. 12, at 11:37 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at the Coors Fitness Center. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left his personal belongings in an unsecured storage cubby at 9:05 a.m.
When he returned at 9:45 a.m. to retrieve his belongings, he discovered they were missing. The student was advised to file a report with Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Office break-in
On Monday, Feb. 12, at 3:15 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at John Greene Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member secured his office on Feb. 9, at 5 p.m.
When he returned on Feb. 12, at 9 a.m. he discovered university-owned electronic equipment was missing. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Cooler theft
On Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 8:54 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at the Driscoll Center. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown broke into a secured cooler between Monday, Feb. 12, at 6 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 5 a.m.
A Sodexo staff member reported products were missing from the cooler. Denver Police Department assistance was declined. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Ice strikes again
On Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 9:50 a.m. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an injured student at the Seeley G. Mudd Building. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student slipped and fell near the east entrance of the building. The student reported an injury to her right wrist and knee. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for medical treatment. Facilities Management was contacted to remove the snow and ice from the area. Risk Management will be notified.

On Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 11:25 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room at Centennial Halls.
An on-scene investigation revealed two DU students admitted to using marijuana and were in possession of drug paraphernalia. Campus Safety confiscated the contraband. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Don’t leave items alone
On Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 12:40 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Ben Cherrington Hall.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left her personal belongings unattended on a table in the cafCB) at 11:30 a.m. When she returned several minutes later, she discovered her wallet was missing. The student was advised to file a report with Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
