Watch Anne Frank’s Diary come to life
The university of Denver Department of Theatre will be presenting “Yours, Anne” Thursday through March 7 at the Elizabeth Eriksen Byron Theatre, located at 2344 E. Iliff.
“Yours, Anne” is a musical adaptation of the book Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl. Music is by Michael Cohen and Libretto by Enid Futterman.
Performances will be at 8 p.m. this Thursday, Friday and Saturday and March 5 and 6, and at 2 p.m. on March 7. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $12 for students, seniors, handicap and alumni. For tickets and information, call 303.357.ARTS.

Explore careers and internships at fair
The Winter Career Fair will be held tomorrow from 3 – 6 p.m. in the Driscoll Ballroom. Over 50 companies and organizations will be in attendance at the fair including Xcel Energy, Peace Corps, Westword, Fisher Investments, Inc., Farmers Insurance Group, New England Financial and U.S. Marine Corps Officer Selection.
Students have the opportunity to explore various careers and industries as well as persue professional employment and internships.
In addition to the fair, there will be two workshops: “Staying Motivates in Your Job Search” at 3:30 p.m. and “Opportunities Within the Federal Government” at 4:30 p.m. Both take place in room 1864.

Feminism author speaking at Metro
Bell Hooks, author of Ain’t I a Woman: Black Women and Feminism, and Feminism is for Everybody: Passionate, Politics, will be speaking at the Tivoli Center in the Turnhalle room at Metro State College campus on March 4 at 11:30 a.m.
Hook’s talk is titled: “Celebration Feminism: Challenging and Changing Patriarchy.”

Opening reception for gallery held
An opening reception for the Faculty Exhibition will be March 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Victoria H. Myhren Gallery
The gallery features works by the University of Denver School of Art and Art History’s studio art and eMAD faculty.
The exhibit will run through May 7 and is located in the Shwayder Art Building, 2121 E. Asbury Ave. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m Monday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

LA director comes to Denver to teach
LA DIRECTOR Tom Logan, feature film and television producer, is coming to Denver March 5-7.
Logan is offering three courses over the span of three days for $275. On Friday, the class is “The Business of Show Business,” which takes students through the casting process from a director’s point of view.
Saturday’s class is “Think You Know How to Audition for Commercials?” which teaches students how to not get nervous in auditions.
The class “Auditioning for TV, Film, Soap Opera and Sitcom” is on Sunday. Both Saturday and Sunday’s classes are held from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Submit writing for contest
Columbia: a Journal of Literaure and Art is accepting entries of poetry, fiction or non fiction for its 39th issue of the journal. The deadline is March 31.
Winners in each category will receive $500, as well as publication in Columbia.
The judges are Timothy Donnelly (poetry), Jessica Hagedorn (fiction) and Stephen O’Connor (non-fiction).
Address submissions to the poetry, fiction or non-fiction editor and enclose a $10 reading fee for each set of 5 poems or each fiction/non-fiction submission (up to 20 pages).

Poetry reading
The English Department is sponsoring a reading and celebration of Sin Puertre Visibles (No Visible Doors), an anthology of contemporary poetry by Mexican women.
It will be held tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the English Department lounge, Sturm 495. The event is free and open to the public.
Jen Hofer, the editor and translator, and Dolores Dorantes, poet, will read.
