Panic attack

On Friday, April 18, at about 2 p.m., a DU faculty member reported a DU student was experiencing a panic attack at the Ammi Hyde Building. Campus Safety and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the student to Swedish Medical Center for treatment.

Gate crash

On Sunday, April 20, at 12:27 p.m., Campus Safety reported an unaffiliated male drove his personal vehicle into the entrance gate at Lot D, under the Daniels College of Business. The gate and the male’s vehicle received extensive damage as a result. There were no injuries. Facilities Management and Parking Services were notified.

Motor on fire

On Sunday, April 20, at about 12:30 p.m., Campus Safety reported the motor that opens the gate to Lot D, under the Daniels College of Business, was on fire. Denver Fire Department responded and shut off the power to the motor. Denver Fire Department determined the fire was due to the gate being damaged and the motor not being able to open the gate. There were no injuries. Facilities Management and Parking Services were notified.

Threatening staff

On Saturday, April 19, at 5:25 p.m., a DU student reported a Sodexho staff member threatened him at Nelson Hall. Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Car collision

On Monday, April 21, at about 4 p.m., a DU student reported an unidentified vehicle struck her personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot 103, north of Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded, completed an investigation, and advised the student to file a report with Denver police.

Harassment

On Tuesday, April 22, at about 2 a.m., an unaffiliated adult female reported a DU student sexually assaulted her on the University Park Campus. Denver police assistance was declined. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Graffiti rage

On Wednesday, April 23, at 8:26 a.m., Campus Safety reported unknown person(s) painted graffiti outside Centennial Halls. Facilities Management was notified.

On Wednesday, April 23, at 8:57 a.m., Campus Safety reported unknown person(s) painted graffiti outside the Cable Center and on public property. Facilities Management and the City of Denver were notified.

On Wednesday, April 23, at 9:36 a.m., Campus Safety reported unknown person(s) painted graffiti outside the Shwayder Art Building. Facilities Management was notified.

On Wednesday, April 23, at about 9:45 a.m., Campus Safety reported unknown person(s) painted graffiti outside the Tennis Pavillion. Facilities Management was notified.
