Stolen property
On Thursday, May 1, at about 11:40 a.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole unattended personal property from the Penrose Library. Campus Safety responded, completed an investigation, and advised the student to file a report with Denver police.
False alarm
On Friday, May 2, at 2:59 a.m., a fire alarm was activated at Nelson Hall. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Deparment responded. Denver Fire Department determined the alarm was caused by unknown person(s) that discharged a fire extinguisher. There were no injuries or damage.
Pinched keys
On Friday, May 2, at about 4:45 p.m., a DU student reported an unidentified male stole his personal keys in Lot 301, west of Driscoll South. Campus Safety and Denver police investigation is ongoing.
Damaged stuff
On Saturday, May 3, at about 1 a.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) damaged property inside The Ritchie Center. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation.
Another false alarm On Sunday, May 4, at about 8:15 p.m., a fire alarm was activated at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded. Denver Fire Department determined it was a false alarm caused by unknown person(s) that activated a pull station.
Traffic accident
On Monday, May 5, at 11:11 a.m., an unaffiliated male reported a traffic accident in Lot 111, south of La Chateau Apartments. There were no injuries. Campus Safety and Denver police responded and completed an investigation.
Student seizure
On Monday, May 5, at 2:32 p.m., an unaffiliated female had a seizure at Penrose Library. Campus Safety and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the female to Porter Hospital for treatment.
Lost wallet… found
On Monday, May 5, at about 1:10 p.m., a Sodexho employee reported that on May 2, 2003 her wallet was missing from an office in Centennial Halls. On May 3, 2003, the wallet was recovered with $5 in cash missing. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation. Denver police assistance was declined.
Trash painting
On Wednesday, May 7, at 11:47 a.m., Campus Safety reported unknown person(s) painted graffiti on a trash can in Lot C, north of Centennial Halls. Facilities Management was notified.
Sick student
On Thursday, May 8, at about 6:50 a.m., a DU student reported she was ill at her residence at Skyline Hall. Campus Safety, Denver Fire Department, and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the student to Swedish Medical Center for treatment.
