Over the sounds of traffic and RTD chimes, local Denver bands and artists are producing an abundance of new music to drown out the familiar and mundane. Here is a compiled list of new songs from hit artists and bands from the area. Take some time out of your day, and start April off right with some new and local songs below!

“Hesitation” – Bleak Mystique 

Known for vibrant and energetic live performances around Denver, the alternative rock band Bleak Mystique is a must-watch live. The three-person band formed at the University of Denver, and they have since garnered a lot of attention from students and the Denver community alike Their new single “Hesitation,” released on April 1, can be streamed on Spotify. “Tread” – Trayce Chapman 

Trayce Chapman, an established and well-known rapper in Denver, recently released the album “CONTRABAND 3,”  featuring 16 new songs, “Tread” being included. You can listen to “Tread” here on Spotify and follow him on various social media platforms for upcoming show dates and more content. 

“Desert Dream” – Crooked Rugs 

Crooked Rugs, a rock band based out of Fort Collins, consists of five creative members: Nolan Brumback, Jayce Haley, Jay LeCavalier and brothers Rex and Finn Stowers. “Desert Dream” is featured on the newly released album, “Tales of the Great Western Sky.” Their next show is “somewhere in Fort Collins” as mentioned on their Instagram post in early April. “Ahead of Myself” – Moodlighting 

Self-categorized on Spotify as a combination of dream pop and indie rock, the Denver-based band Moodlighting recently released their latest album “Boy Wonder“ featuring new songs including “Ahead of Myself.” The song can be found on Spotify here. “Not the Same” – The BRKN 

Denver pop band The BRKN has released a new single, “Not the Same.” You can stream it on Spotify here. The band, consisting of Jacob Cade, Mike Bokenkamp and MJ Younkers, is currently on tour in the midwest and is preparing for a tour in the United Kingdom.
