The agent of Denver forward and co-captain Drew Shore announced via Twitter that his client has agreed to terms with the NHL’s Florida Panthers.

“Congratulations to client @drew_shore15 for agreeing to terms with the Florida #Panthers. One of the best ever to wear the #DU jersey,” tweeted Shore’s agent @Muzz39.

If Shore had decided to stay for his senior season next year, he would have had the opportunity to play with two of his brothers, sophomore Nick and incoming recruit Quentin, who has signed to play with the Pioneers in the fall.

Shore leaves the Pioneers following the team’s 2-1 loss last weekend in the first round of the NCAA tournament against Ferris State. He leaves the point position on DU’s top line to play forward for the Panthers.

Sophomore forward Jason Zucker, Shore’s teammate on the top line, acknowledged Shore’s departure earlier in the day.

“Congrats to @drew_shore15 on signing with Florida. Very much deserved! #bestofluck,” tweeted Zucker.

Shore led the Pioneers this season with 53 points on 22 goals and 31 assists.
