Last night we ventured to Colorado Springs to cheer on the Pioneers in their game with our rivals, the Colorado College Tigers. My wife and I were looking forward to an intense, action filled game as the two teams usually deliver. What a shame that what appeared to be the DU student section showed so little class. During the introduction of the CC seniors, the section chanted, “DU rejects” and “no one cares”; and during the spot on sportsmanship by CC coach Owens, they chanted “ugly bastard”. For once, I was almost ashamed to be dressed in the crimson and gold. These students should be ashamed for showing such a high level of rudeness and they should apologize for their behavior as my wife and I did to those Tiger fans seated beside us.
