Most college students wouldn’t say March is their favorite month of the year, but between spring break and March Madness, there’s a lot to celebrate.
The NCAA college basketball tournament gives students and adults all over the country a perfect excuse to hang out with friends, make bets and drink beer…for an entire month.
It is the most exciting time in college sports all year for a lot of people. Even if your college basketball team doesn’t make the tournament, there are still plenty of other reasons why people love watching March Madness.
Joining the madness is easy. All you need to do is make a bracket and bet against friends that yours is the most accurate.
Yeah, a bunch of friends can get together to watch any regular season college basketball game but during the tournament there is more at stake.
People cheer on teams that they might not even have been a fan of before but picked to win in their bracket. This allows each game to matter more and in return every game is fun to watch.
Not only does it make watching college basketball more fun than it already is, it also gives people a chance to meet up with friends and drink. College students don’t have much of a problem finding reasons to party and March Madness is a pretty obvious one.
Besides what’s better than an ice cold beer with friends and watching new rivalries, surprising upsets and good basketball unfold?
Facebook gives us proof that March Madness is a big part of college student’s lives for a month each year. Here are some recent status updates:
