The first meeting of the Student Art Council will be held today from 5 to 6 p.m. in Ben Cherrington Hall, room 301.

Vote on tobacco-free initiative
Students are invited to attend tonight’s AUSA Senate meeting at 6 p.m. in the Driscoll Student Center Gallery in order to voice their opinions on the tobacco-free DU initiative.
Following student opinions, the Senate will vote on whether to endorse the proposed tobacco ban.

Panel tackles
multiculturalism
The Graduate School of Social Work’s “Shades of Brown” will feature a panel discussion on multiculturalism in the U.S. tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Craig Hall community room.
Panelists and GSSW professors will address the challenges concerning multiculturalism in America today.

Students discuss human rights trial
The Josef Korbel School of International Studies will present a panel on student experiences with the human rights trial of former Peruvian President Fujimori.
The event will take place tomorrow at noon in room 170 of the Ricketson Law building.
Art dedication at Penrose Library
Deborah Howard, an associate professor in the School of Art and Art History, will be honored Thursday for her contribution of two works of art to the Penrose Library. The art dedication will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the library.
Parking permits are available upon reservation and light refreshments will be served.

Daniels presents leadership talk
The Daniels College of Business Entrepreneurship Society will present Brenda Stabb, who will discuss “Leadership Skills: How to Thrive in a Team-Oriented Environment” on Monday, March 2, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held in the Schneider boardroom on the sixth floor of the Daniels College of Business.
Daniels to host marketing event
The Marketing Roundtable of the Daniels College of Business will host “What’s HOT in Marketing” next Thursday, March 5, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.
The event will feature information about current trends in technology, trends in Hispanic and green marketing and the transition of marketing’s definition into customer experience managment.
Denver area marketing and business professionals are encouraged to attend.
The lecture is free, but reservations are required due to limited seating.

R&R Night will
return in March
Late Night @ DU is reviving R&R Night this quarter on Sunday, March 8, from 8 p.m. to midnight in the Driscoll Student Center.
This quarter’s theme is Study Siesta.
Activities will include karaoke in Sidelines Pub from 8 to 11 p.m., chair massages in Driscoll Gallery from 8 to 11 p.m., a breakfast burrito bar from 9 to 11 p.m. and study space in the Driscoll Ballroom.
