Marijuana

detected in Halls Campus Safety received a report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room in Centennial Halls at 10:20 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19. Two underage students were discovered in the room. Both denied smoking marijuana, however, several alcohol containers were left in plain sight. They were confiscated by Campus Safety.

Student attempts to run from DCS

A Campus Safety officer noticed a student enter the construction area on the south side of the Ritchie Center on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 12:28 a.m. during a routine patrol.

The student tried to run from Campus Safety Officers but was caught in El Pomar Natatorium. The student was severely intoxicated and underage. He had to be transferred to a detox facility for treatment by paramedics. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards was notified.

Concerning texts

A student at Johnson-McFarlane Hall called Campus Safety after receiving concerning text messages from another individual who was visiting the residence hall.

Campus Safety arrived at the scene at 1:57 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, and required the individual to speak to the on-call councelor who determined that he was not a threat to himself or others.

He was allowed to remain in the residence hall room with the student he was visiting, but alcohol found in the room was confiscated. Both the individual and the student are underage. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards was notified.

Drunk urinator

Campus Safety officers noticed a male urinating in public in parking lot Q near the Chambers Center at 2:29 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, during a routine patrol. Further investigation revealed the male was a DU student, underage and severely intoxicated. He was taken to a nearby detox facility for treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Student shares lewd photos

A student was accused of showing lewd photographs to another student at the Sturm College of Law on Tuesday, Jan. 15. A faculty member reported the student to Campus Safety on Friday at 12:45 p.m. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards has been notified.

Car crash by KSIS

A student was transported to Swedish Medical Center Friday afternoon, Jan. 23 after striking a concrete barrier in the H1 parking lot near Cherrington Hall at 5:19 p.m. Campus Safety was called in and Risk Management has been notified.

Student sent to detox

Campus Safety officers discovered a severely intoxicated underage student near the Shwayder Art Building during a routine patrol at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25. The student was taken to a detox facility for medical treatment.

The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards has been notified.

Harassment near Ritchie Center

Two students reported harassment to Campus Safety at 4:03 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25.

The students told a Campus Safety Officer that they had been verbally harassed by an unidentified male while walking along the west side of the Ritchie Center about 20 minutes earlier.
