Harassment from Nelson window

During a routine patrol at 2:24 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, a Campus Safety officer noticed a situation developing at the entrance to the N parking lot near Nelson Hall. A DU student and three other people were walking south on the 2200 block of South High Street when they began to be harassed by unidentified parties in a second floor residence hall room window.

The people in the residence hall began yelling profanity and throwing alcohol containers out the window. No injuries were reported.

False fire alarm at Sigma Chi

Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm that went off in the Sigma Chi fraternity house on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 5:30 p.m. No smoke or fire was present at the house. The alarm had been set off by a water leak in a second floor restroom. Minor damage was reported. The alarm panel was reset by technicians.

Vandalism at Centennial Halls

Campus Safety was called in to investigate a report of vandalism at Centennial Halls on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 1:21 a.m. An unknown person had drawn offensive material on the name tags of several residence hall room doors in the building.

Anxiety attack

A student appeared to have an anxiety attack while being investigated for underage possession of alcohol by a Campus Safety officer at 10:02 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12, in Nagel Hall.

Paramedics were called to the residence hall room, but medical assistance was declined.

Hit and run on

Williams Street

A report of a hit and run traffic accident on the 1700 block of South Williams Street was reported to Campus Safety at 9:39 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16. A student had parked his personal vehicle on the street around 8 p.m. the day before and had returned at 9:10 p.m. the night of Oct. 16 to find severe damage to the driver’s side door.

Marijuana bust at Centennial Halls

Campus Safety discovered a student who admitted to smoking marijuana in a dorm room at 6:06 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, Campus Safety responded to a report that the odor of the drug was detected in the hallway in Centennial Halls.

Car vandalized, property stolen

A DU student reported theft from a personal vehicle to Campus Safety on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 3:35 p.m.

The student had parked his car in the L lot near the College of Law around 10 a.m. When he returned to his vehicle later that day he found a rear window smashed and personal items removed from the car.

The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department.

Possible sexual assault at J-Mac

Campus Safety responded to a report of sexual assault at Johnson-McFarlane Hall on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 2:17 a.m.

No further details are being released at this time. The Office of Gender Violence Education and Support Services has been notified.

Students drinking at Nelson

A noise complaint was made to Campus Safety at Nelson Hall on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 11:28 p.m. Three underage students and one underage person who is not affiliated with DU were caught in possession of alcohol containers.

Campus Safety supervised the disposal of the alcohol.
