Stolen property

On Thursday, Sept. 4, a report was filed with Campus Safety indicating that property had been stolen from the Dean’s suite in the Sturm College of Law on Aug. 22 and returned on Sept. 2.

Laptop stolen from bookstore

On Friday, Sept. 5, Campus Safety responded to a report of stolen property in the DU bookstore in the Driscoll Student Center. Review of video surveillance revealed that a laptop that was left in one of the cubbies at 12 p.m. and then was removed by an unidentified male at 12:02 p.m. The owner has filed a report.

Two people urinate on Alumni Center

A Campus Safety officer noticed two males urinating on the patio of the Leo Block Alumni Center at 1:51 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7. The officer attempted to identify the two males, who were uncooperative and refused to provide identification. Both males fled the scene before backup could arrive.

Vandalism at

J-Mac

On Sunday, Sept. 7, at 6:49 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a report of vandalism at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. An investigation revealed that a profanity was carved into a first floor dorm door. Campus Safety currently has no suspects.

Marijuana at

Centennial Halls

A report that the odor of marijuana was coming from a Centennial Halls room was filed on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 12:20 a.m. Investigation revealed four DU students in the room, two of whom admitted to smoking marijuana. The drug was confiscated by Campus Safety and the students face disciplinary action.

Cashbox stolen

A cashbox was reported stolen from a secured office in the Sturm College of Law on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 10:05 a.m. The cashbox was taken some time between 5:45 p.m. on Monday and 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday. There was no sign of forced entry.

Students trapped in elevator

Two DU students were trapped in an elevator at the Ritchie Center at 4:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The Denver Fire Department was able to release the students without incident and no injuries were reported.

Harrasment at Centennial Halls

A report of harrassment was filed on Tuesday, Sept. 9 by residence assistants at Centennial Halls when lewd comments were discovered on the white boards of two dorm doors during a community watch. Currently there are no suspects.

Drug contraband found at J-Mac

On Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 11:55 p.m., a resident assistant at Johnson-McFarlane Hall reported an incidence of drug paraphernalia after he discovered the contraband on a resident’s desk during a visual room check.

The student admitted to owning the item, which was confiscated.

Student’s wallet stolen

A student reported his wallet stolen at 10:37 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10 after he left it next to a computer on the second floor of Penrose Library.

The wallet was later discovered near the restroom although the student said cash had been stolen out of it.

Drunk freshman

Campus Safety found an underage student severely intoxicated at Centennial Halls at 1:45 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12.

The student, who was uncooperative and denied being drunk, was taken to Porter Hospital.
