Theft at Coors
Fitness Center
On Monday, April 28, at 8:20 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at the Coors Fitness Center.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left personal items unsecured and unattended in a storage cubby at 7:15 a.m.
When he returned to retrieve the items at 8:15 a.m. he discovered they were missing. The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department.
Theft at fitness center solved
On Monday, April 28, at 9:15 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of found property at the Coors Fitness Center.
A DU staff member was emptying a towel bin when he discovered several items reported stolen earlier that day (see report above).
The staff member contacted the owner.
Stuck in elevator at Performing Arts
On Monday, April 28, at 7:34 p.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of parties trapped in an elevator at the Lamport School of Performing Arts.
An on-scene investigation revealed four unidentified parties were trapped in the elevator.
Denver Fire Department released the parties. No injuries were reported.
Welfare check
at Delta Zeta
On Monday, April 28, at 2:40 a.m. Campus Safety responded to a welfare check request at the Delta Zeta sorority house.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student injured her hand.
Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for medical treatment.
Missing fire fighter keys in Mary Reed
On Tuesday, April 29, at 5:30 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol in the Mary Reed Building when he observed an open key box on the north side of the building.
An on-scene investigation revealed the fire fighter key box was open and the keys were missing.
Faculty member harassed at Sturm
On Tuesday, April 29, at 12:30 p.m. a DU faculty member reported harassment at Sturm Hall.
A Campus Safety report revealed an unaffiliated party has been attempting to contact the faculty member by email, phone and in person.
Student receives harassing texts
On Thursday, May 1, at 8:07 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of harassment at Centennial Towers.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student is receiving harassing telephone calls and text messages from an unidentified party.
The student was advised to file a report with Denver Police Department.
Shoplifting report at bookstore
On Thursday, May 1, at 12:31 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of shoplifting at the Driscoll Center.
An on-scene investigation revealed an unidentified party stole DU merchandise from the bookstore. The party left the area prior to Campus Safety arrival.
The false ID found and confiscated
On Thursday, May 1, at 12:55 p.m. Denver Police Department contacted Campus Safety regarding a false identification card belonging to a DU student.
A Campus Safety report revealed the student lost his wallet at the Denver Natural History Museum.
During an inventory of the wallet, Denver Police Department discovered the false identification card.
