Child strikes head on lift gate

On Wednesday, April 23, at 8:59 a.m. Campus Safety, Denver Fire Department and Denver Police Department responded to the report of an injured child at the Fisher Early Learning Center.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member was lowering the lift gate of a university owned vehicle when a Fisher student ran by accidentally striking his head on the lift gate.

The student’s parent was on scene. Paramedics transported the student to Rose Medical Center for medical treatment.

Student injures ankle on stairs

On Wednesday, April 23, at 9:26 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an injured party in parking lot “E” near the Campus Safety Center.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student slipped on the north stairs and injured his ankle and elbow. Medical assistance was declined. No obstructions were observed on the stairs.

Vandalism

at Sigma Chi

On Wednesday, April 23, at 9:30 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of vandalism in the parking lot near Sigma Chi fraternity house. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown sprayed paint on a vehicle at that location. Minor damage was reported.

Graffiti at Towers

On Thursday, April 24, at 3:54 p.m. Campus Safety and Denver Police Department responded to the report of vandalism at Centennial Towers.

An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) vandalized 24 different areas of the building. Denver Police Department photographed the graffiti and collected evidence.

Toe injury at Halls

On Thursday, April 24, at 8:55 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an injured party a Centennial Halls.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student accidently injured her toe on the sidewalk in the 1800 block of South High Street.Medical assistance was declined.

Student to detox

On Friday, April 25, at 12:33 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol in the 1900 block of East Asbury Avenue when he observed a party who appeared to be severely intoxicated exit the Zeta Beta Tau sponsored party bus.

An on-scene investigation revealed the party was a severely intoxicated DU student. Denver Cares transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment.

Public urination

On Friday, April 25, at 1:48 a.m. Denver Police Department contacted Campus Safety regarding an incident involving two DU students. A Campus Safety report revealed a Denver Police Department officer witnessed the students urinating on a Denver Police Department patrol vehicle. Both students were cited for public urination.

Halls RA pushed

On Friday, April 25, at 2:27 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an altercation at Centennial Halls.

An on-scene investigation revealed a Resident Assistant requested identification from three unidentified males entering the building.

The males refused and one male pushed the Resident Assistant. One male was later identified as a DU student.

Found wallet

On Friday, April 25, at 3:15 a.m. Campus Safety recovered a found wallet from the Driscoll Center. An inventory of the wallet revealed a false identification card belonging to a DU student. Campus Safety confiscated the card.
