Theft in Halls

On Thursday, Feb. 21, at10:30 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) took a wallet from a residence hall room belonging to a DU student were stolen between Feb. 20 at 4p.m. and Feb. 21, at 10:25 a.m. The student reported his room is secured when it is unattended. Disposition pending report review.

Traffic accident

On Thursday, Feb. 21, at 4:15 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a traffic accident in parking lot L near the College of Law.

A DU faculty member reported he drove through the parking lot gate earlier that day at 2 p.m. when the gate arm struck the top of his vehicle. Disposition pending report review. Risk Management will be notified.

Threatening e-mails

On Thursday, Feb. 21, at 5:59 p.m. a DU student reported at harassment at University Apartments South. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student received threatening e-mail from an unaffiliated party. The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department. Disposition pending report review.

Underage drinking

On Thursday, Feb. 21, at 11:30 p.m. responded to the report of an intoxicated party near the Shwayder Art Building.

An on-scene investigation revealed an underage unaffiliated party was severely intoxicated. The Denver Police Department responded and cited the party for underage intoxication. Denver Cares transported the party to a detox facility for medical treatment.

Intoxicated student

On Friday, Feb. 22, at 12:16 a.m. Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol near the Shwayder Art Building when a resident assistant reported an intoxicated party. An on-scene investigation revealed an underage DU student was severely intoxicated. The Denver Police Department was on scene for another call and transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Drunk altercation

On Friday, Feb. 22, at 2:14 a.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Police Department responded to the report of altercation in the 2400 block of South Gaylord Street.

An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated and intoxicated party became ill in a vehicle belonging to another unaffiliated party. Denver Cares transported the party to a detox facility for medical treatment.

Credit card mishap

On Friday, Feb. 21, at 9:10 p.m. a DU student reported her credit card information was compromised at an off-campus location. The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department.

Fake identification

On Saturday, Feb. 24, at 5:32 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol near Frontier Hall when he observed an unresponsive male lying on the sidewalk.

The male was identified as an underage an intoxicated DU student. The student was in possession of false identification and an alcohol container. The Denver Police Department responded, disposed of the alcohol container and transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment.

Stolen bike tire

On Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1:40 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Centennial Towers. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student secured her bicycle to the east bicycle rack with an approved lock on Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. When she returned to retrieve the bicycle on Feb. 21 at 7 a.m. she discovered the front tire was missing. The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department.

Marijuana smoking

On Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11:54 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room at Centennial Halls.

An on-scene investigation revealed four DU students were in the room. Despite the heavy odor of marijuana all students denied smoking in the room. Campus Safety observed an empty alcohol container in the room but there was no other contraband in plain view.

Assault near J-Mac

On Saturday, Feb. 23, at 2:10 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an assault near Johnson-McFarlane Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed two DU students were walking near the main entrance when one of the students was assaulted by two males. Both male suspects are also believed to be DU students.
