Stolen Purse
On Tuesday, Oct. 2, Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Sturm Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left her purse unsecured and unattended in the lobby at 2 p.m. When she returned to retrieve the purse at 3:45 p.m. she discovered it was missing. The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department. Disposition pending report review.
Vandalism in fraternity
On Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 1:16 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of vandalism at the Kappa Sigma fraternity house. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown wrote graffiti in a stairwell. The Denver Police Department’s assistance was declined. Disposition pending report review.
Underage drinking
On Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 12:08 a.m. Campus Safety, the Denver Fire Department and the Denver Police Department responded to the report of an intoxicated party in a private parking lot in the 2000 block of S. University Boulevard. An on-scene investigation revealed the party was an underage and severely intoxicated DU student. The Denver Police Department cited the student with student Possession and Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor and transported her to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Bike Theft
On Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 3:31 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Sturm Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student secured her bicycle to the northwest bicycle rack with an unapproved lock at 9 a.m. When she returned to retrieve the bicycle at 3:15 p.m. she discovered it was missing. The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department. Disposition pending report review.
Stolen Bike
On Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 11:50 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at the Fisher Early Learning Center. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student secured a bicycle belonging to another DU student to the southwest bicycle rack with an unapproved lock at 8:35 a.m. When she returned to retrieve the bicycle at 11:45 a.m. she discovered it was missing. The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department.
Traffic accident
On Thursday, Oct. 4, at 4:05 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a traffic accident in parking lot 321 near the College of Law. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student was exiting the lot on a motor scooter when she was struck by the parking lot gate arm. Minor injuries were reported. The student declined medical assistance. Campus Safety advised the student to contact the Health and Counseling Center. Risk Management
Marijuana smoking
On Friday, Oct. 5, at 2 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed two resident assistants observed a DU student smoking marijuana. There was no contraband in plain view. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Intoxicated Students
On Friday, Oct. 5, at 1:20 a.m. a resident assistant reported two parties who appeared to be intoxicated at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed the parties were two underage and severely intoxicated DU students. Denver Cares transported both students to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Underage Drinking
On Friday, Oct. 5, at 2:35 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an ill party at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed an underage DU student admitted consuming alcohol earlier in the evening bit did not appear to be intoxicated. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for medical treatment.

On Friday, Oct. 5, at 1:40 a.m. a graduate resident director reported a party who appeared to be intoxicated at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed the party was an underage and severely intoxicated DU student. Denver Cares transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
