Criminal mischief
On Thursday, May 3, at 7:33 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of criminal mischief at Centennial Towers. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left his residence hall room on Thursday, May 3, at 10 a.m. When he returned at 7 p.m. he discovered person(s) unknown put an unidentified substance in his aquarium. Significant damage was reported. There are no suspects at this time. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Hit-and-run accident
On Thursday, May 3, at 12:39 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a hit-and-run traffic accident in parking lot 111 near La Chateau apartments. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student parked his personal vehicle in the lot on May 2, at 7 p.m. When he returned on May 3, at 12:15 p.m. he discovered damage to the right front fender. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Intoxicated student
On Friday, May 4, at 1:25 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an intoxicated party at Johnson-MacFarlane Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed an underage DU student was severely intoxicated. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Injured student
On Friday, May 4, at 10:09 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an injured party at the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student was injured during a flag football game. The student declined medical treatment and was transported to Porter Hospital by an unaffiliated party driving a personal vehicle. Risk Management will be notified.
Four students do not evacuate during fire alarm
On Saturday, May 5, at 3 a.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Centennial Halls. During an on-scene investigation, the Denver Fire Department discovered four DU students in a residence hall room who did not evacuate the building. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Vandalism at HRTM
On Saturday, May 5, at 8:49 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol at the Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management building when she noticed vandalism in the northeast stairwell. An on-scene investigation revealed that someone had damaged a safety gate. It is unknown when the vandalism occurred. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Harassment by e-mail
On Thursday, May 5, at 3:30 p.m. a DU student reported harassment. A Campus Safety report revealed an unaffiliated party has been making unwanted contact with the student by e-mail. A report was filed with local law enforcement at her permanent residence. Denver Police Department assistance was declined. Campus Safety completed a report.
Possible DU staff member harasses student
On Sunday, May 6, at 2:40 a.m. a DU student reported harassment on the 1100 block of Lincoln Street. A Campus Safety report revealed an unidentified party, who is believed to be a DU staff member, verbally harassed the student. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Keys missing at gym
On Sunday, May 6, at 11:10 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at the Coors Fitness Center. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left his keys in a storage cubby at 9:45 p.m. When he returned to retrieve the keys at 10:30 p.m. he discovered they were missing. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Drug overdose at Sigma Chi
On Monday, May 7, at 12:01 p.m. the Denver Police Department contacted Campus Safety about an incident at the Sigma Chi fraternity house. A Campus Safety report revealed the Denver Police Department and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of a drug overdose on Sunday, May 6, at 12:40 a.m. A DU student was transported to an unidentified hospital for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Student sleeps outside
On Wednesday, May 9, at 1:21 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an ill party at the Ricks Center. An on-scene investigation revealed an underage and severely intoxicated DU student was sleeping near the main entrance. Denver Cares transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Roommate threat
On Thursday, May 10, at 9:45 a.m., a DU student reported that his roommate threatened him earlier in the morning at their off-campus residence. The student re-contacted Campus Safety later and reported that the roommate had apologized for his actions and will seek counseling. The report will be forwarded to Citizenship and Community Standards for review.
Possible drug use among Sodexho employees
On Thursday, May 10, at 6:40 p.m., Campus Safety received an anonymous tip that drug use was occurring among Sodexho employees at the Sidelines Pub in Driscoll Center. A Sodexho manager was notified. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Intoxicated student in Driscoll
On Thursday, May 10, at 11:22 p.m., Campus Safety encountered a severely intoxicated, underage female student, inside of the Driscoll Center. Denver Paramedics were called, responded and transported the student to Denver Health Medical Center for treatment.
Student throws objects at Tennis Pavilion
On Friday, May 11, at 1:44 a.m., Campus Safety observed a male, later identified as a DU student, throwing objects at the Stapleton Tennis Pavilion. Upon contact, the student was found to be intoxicated and underage. Denver Cares was called, responded and transported the student to detox. Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified. Campus Safety completed a report.
