Student faints at rehearsal

On Friday, April 6, at 3:23 p.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an ill student at the Performing Arts Center.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student fainted during a rehearsal. The student declined medical treatment. Risk Management will be notified.

Traffic accident in lot C

On Friday, April 6, at 11:49 p.m. a DU staff member reported a traffic accident in parking lot C near Centennial Halls.

An on-scene investigation revealed the staff member was driving a university-owned vehicle when he struck a metal pole at the parking lot entrance. Minor damage and no injuries were reported. Risk Management will be notified.

Injured party at Coors Fitness Center

On Saturday, April 7, at 4:27 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an injured student at the Coors Fitness Center.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student injured his ankle during a basketball game at Gates Field House. The student declined medical treatment. Risk Management will be notified.

Theft at Frontier Hall

On Monday, April 9, at 1:15 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Frontier Hall.

An on-scene investigation revealed university-owned electronic equipment was removed from a lab between April 7 and April 9. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Gate arm broken

On Monday, April 9, at 4 p.m. a DU staff member reported vandalism in parking lot N near Nelson Hall.

A Campus Safety report revealed an unidentified party broke the parking lot gate arm on April 8 at 12 a.m. Video surveillance revealed the party fled to Nelson Hall. A Campus Safety investigation is on going.

Bicycle theft at Cavalier Apartments

On Tuesday, April 10, at 3:28 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Cavalier Apartments.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student secured his bicycle with an unapproved lock on the patio of his residence on Monday, April 9, at 1:30 p.m.

When the student retuned on Tuesday, April 10, at 1:30 p.m. to retrieve the bicycle, he discovered it was missing.

The student filed a report with the Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Cellular phone stolen at Coors Fitness Center

On Tuesday, April 10, at 3:35 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at the Coors Fitness Center.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left her cellular phone in an unsecured storage cubby at 3 p.m.

When the student returned at 3:30 p.m. to retrieve the phone, she discovered it was missing. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Intoxicated student enters vehicle

On Wednesday, April 11, at 2:06 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol near the Performing Arts Center when he observed a student who appeared to be intoxicated enter a vehicle parked in the 2300 block of S. York Street.

Denver Police determined the unaffiliated party was severely intoxicated and transported him to a detox facility for medical treatment. Campus Safety completed a report.

Harassment at dorm

On Wednesday, April 11, at 7:53 a.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Police Department responded to the report of harassment at Johnson-McFarlane Hall.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member was being harassed by an unaffiliated party. The party was escorted from campus. Campus Safety completed a report.

Another bicycle theft

On Thursday, April 12, at 12:23 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at John Greene Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student secured his bicycle to the bicycle rack with an unapproved lock on Wednesday, April 11, at 9:15 p.m.

When he returned on Thursday, April 12 at 12:22 a.m. to retrieve the bicycle, he discovered it was missing. The student advised he would contact the Denver Police Department to file a report. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
