Hit and run
On Thursday, Feb. 22, at 8:10 a.m. Campus Safety and Denver Police Department responded to the report of a traffic accident in the 2300 block of E. Warren Avenue.
An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party was parked when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by an unidentified party who fled the scene.
Campus Safety completed a report. Risk Management will be notified.
Not oregano
On Thursday, Feb. 22, at 9:03 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room at Centennial Towers.
An on-scene investigation revealed marijuana was in plain view in a kitchen area shared by four DU students. The contraband was confiscated by Campus Safety. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Car collision
On Thursday, Feb. 22, at 12:03 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a traffic accident in parking lot 303 near Ben Cherrington Hall.
An on-scene investigation revealed a personal vehicle driven by a DU student and a Sodexho vehicle driven by a Sodexho staff member collided in a traffic lane. No injuries and minor damage was reported. The parties were advised to file a report with Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Bad parking pass
On Thursday, Feb. 22, at 2:37 p.m. a Parking Enforcement Officer was conducting a routine patrol in parking lot 315 near Penrose Library when she discovered a vehicle belonging to a DU staff member displaying an altered parking permit.
The vehicle was immobilized and the staff member was issued a citation. Campus Safety completed a report.
Fanny pack missing
On Friday, Feb. 23, at 1:40 p.m. an unaffiliated party reported a theft at El Pomar Natatorium.
The party reported he fanny pack was missing.
At approximately 4:20 p.m. a DU staff member reported all of the missing items were found and returned to their owner.
Injured man
On Sunday, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an injured student at Nelson Hall.
An on-scene investigation revealed a Resident Assistant was conducting rounds when she observed an unidentified male who was bleeding.
The male fled the area prior to Campus Safety arrival on-scene. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Missing ring
On Monday, Feb. 26, at 9:30 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at the Penrose Library.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left a ring on the couch in the first floor common area at 5:50 p.m. The student returned to retrieve the ring at 6:25 p.m. and discovered it was missing.
The student was advised to file a report with Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Gate arm stolen
On Monday, Feb. 26, at 11:01 a.m. a DU staff member reported vandalism in parking lot N. Video surveillance revealed an unidentified male broke the parking lot gate arm on Feb. 23, at 12:51 a.m.
The suspect and two other unidentified males carried the gate arm into Nelson Hall. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Harassment
On Monday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m. a DU student reported harassment. A Campus Safety report revealed the student was harassed on and off campus by an unaffiliated party.
The student was advised to contact Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Car accident
On Monday, Feb. 26, at 3:45 p.m. a DU staff member reported a traffic accident at the intersection of East Evans Avenue and South University Boulevard.
A Campus Safety report revealed the staff member was driving a university-owned vehicle on Feb. 24, at 11:45 p.m. when he struck a vehicle belonging to an unidentified party.
No injuries and minor damage were reported. Rick Management will be notified.
Follow your nose
On Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 1:08 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room at Johnson-McFarlane Hall.
An on-scene investigation revealed six DU students were in the room. Campus Safety observed the strong odor of marijuana but no drugs or drug paraphernalia were in plain view. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Buchtel theft
On Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 11:30 a.m. Campus Safety and Denver Police Department responded to the report of a theft at the Buchtel House.
An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party secured tools in the basement on Monday, Feb. 26, at 4:15 p.m.
When he returned on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 11:30 a.m. he discovered the tools were missing.
There were signs of forced entry on the basement door. Campus Safety and Denver Police Department investigation are ongoing.
Drunk on campus
On Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a suspicious party at The Ritchie Center.
An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party was severely intoxicated. Denver Cares transported the party to a detox facility for medical treatment. Campus Safety completed a report
