Detox trip

On Friday, Feb. 16, at 2:10 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol near the Schwayder Art Building when he observed two suspicious parties in the 1900 block of East Asbury Avenue.

The parties were identified as underage DU students who had been drinking. One student was extremely intoxicated and transported to a detox facility for medical treatment.

The other student was allowed to return to her residence hall room. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Fraternity break-in

On Friday, Feb. 16, at 4:05 a.m. Campus Safety and Denver Police Department responded to the report of a theft at the Beta Theta Pi fraternity house.

An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown forced entry into a residence room belonging to a DU student. The student reported cash and electronic equipment were missing and personal property was damaged.

The incident occurred between Feb. 15 at 9:30 p.m. and Feb. 16 at 3 a.m. Campus Safety and Denver Police Department investigations are ongoing.

Hit-and-run accident

On Friday, Feb. 16, at 9:30 a.m. a DU staff member reported a hit-and-run traffic accident at the Phipps Mansion. An on-scene investigation revealed an unknown party struck a light pole earlier that day between 6:55 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. and fled the scene.

Facilities Management was notified. The staff member was advised to file a report with Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Attempted break-in

On Friday, Feb. 16, at 11:40 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an attempted theft at Johnson-McFarlane Hall.

An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown attempted to break a lock to a computer room door. The incident occurred between Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. and Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. No items were reported missing. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Drunk spectator

On Feb. 17, at 2:10 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an intoxicated party at the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. An on-scene investigation revealed an underage DU student was extremely intoxicated.

Denver Cares transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Penrose theft

On Saturday, Feb. 17, at 2:27 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at the Penrose Library. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left her personal belongings at an unsecured and unattended computer workstation at 2 p.m.

When she returned at 2:12 p.m. she discovered her purse was missing. The student was advised to contact Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Student threats

On Saturday, Feb. 17, at 3:59 p.m. a DU student reported harassment at Centennial Halls. The student reported another DU student was threatening her in her residence hall room. Campus Safety completed a report. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Towers brawl

On Sunday, Feb. 18, at 2:04 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a physical altercation at Centennial Towers. An on-scene investigation revealed two DU students and four unaffiliated parties were involved in an altercation in the lobby. Denver Police Department assistance was declined. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Hockey game injury

On Monday, Feb. 19, at 10:53 p.m. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an injured party at Magness Arena. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student was injured during a hockey game. The student declined medical treatment on-scene and advised he would seek medical treatment at Swedish Medical Center. Risk Management will be notified.

Blackout

On Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 3 p.m. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an ill party at The Newman Performing Arts Center. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member momentarily lost consciousness for an unknown reason. Paramedics recommended the staff member be transported to a hospital for medical treatment but she declined. Risk Management will be notified.

Student runs amok

On Tuesday, Feb. 20, Denver Police Department contacted Campus Safety regarding incidents involving a DU student that occurred at an off-campus location.

A Campus Safety report revealed on Feb. 14 and Feb. 17, the student was intoxicated and caused disturbances at several local businesses. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Identity crisis

On Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 12 p.m. Denver Police Department contacted an underage and intoxicated DU student at an off-campus location. The student was in possession of a false identification card.

The student was brought to the Campus Safety Center for further investigation. Denver Police Department issued the summons and the student was released. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Fake ID dealer

On Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 12 p.m. Campus Safety received information from Denver Police Department that a DU student may be producing and selling false identification cards. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
