Vandalism

On Friday, Sept. 29 at 3:03 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of vandalism at the Driscoll University Center. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) damaged the metal gate in the food court. No items were reported missing. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Purse missing

On Friday, Sept. 29, at 4:12 p.m. a DU student reported a theft at Sturm Hall. A Campus Safety report revealed on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 12 p.m. the student left her purse in an unattended classroom. She returned at 2 p.m. to retrieve the purse and discovered it was missing. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Penrose theft

On Saturday, Sept. 30, at 2:10 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at the Penrose Library. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left a backpack unattended in a common area at 1:40 p.m. When he returned at 2:10 p.m. to retrieve the backpack, he discovered it was missing. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle damaged

On Saturday, Sept. 30, at 6:50 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of vandalism in parking lot R. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU faculty member parked her personal vehicle in the lot on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 8 p.m. When she returned on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m. she discovered minor damage to the hood and windshield of the vehicle. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Soccer injury

On Sunday, Oct. 1, at 12:50 p.m. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an injured party at the intramural soccer field. An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party sustained a head injury during a soccer game. Paramedics transported the party to Swedish Medical Center for medical treatment.

Flying rocks attack

On Sunday, Oct. 1, at 10:15 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of harassment in the 2200 block of East Harvard Avenue. An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party was throwing rocks at a personal vehicle belonging to a DU staff member. No damage was reported. The party was removed from campus. Campus Safety completed a report.

Drunk student

On Sunday, Sept. 24, at 1:54 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an intoxicated student at Centennial Towers.

An on-scene investigation found the an intoxicated DU student. Denver Cares transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment.

The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

“Disturbance”

On Monday, Oct. 2, at 1:52 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a disturbance at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student and an unaffiliated party were involved in a disturbance. The unaffiliated party was removed from campus. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Sketch bike snooper

On Monday, Oct. 2, at 1:31 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a suspicious party near Centennial Towers. An on-scene investigation revealed DU staff members witnessed the party acting suspiciously near the bicycle racks. Campus Safety attempted to contact the party who then fled the area on foot. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Wallet jacked

On Monday, Oct. 2, at 4:06 p.m. a DU student reported a theft at The Ritchie Center. A Campus Safety report revealed that the student left his wallet unattended in a storage cubby. When he retuned to retrieve the wallet, he discovered it was missing. The student was advised he could file a report with Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Cash stolen

On Monday, Oct. 2, at 9:59 a.m. a DU staff member reported a theft at the College of Law. A Campus Safety report revealed money was missing from a petty cash box. The theft occurred between June 1 and June 15. Denver Police Department assistance was declined. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Auto vandalized

On Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 9:54 p.m. a DU student reported vandalism in parking lot C. The student reported his personal vehicle was damaged between Sept. 27 at 8 a.m. and Oct. 4 at 9:30 p.m. He believes the damage may have occurred while his vehicle was parked in the lot. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Bike snooper 2

On Friday, Oct. 6 at 5:14 a.m. Campus Safety officer observed a suspicious party near Centennial Halls. The party was acting suspiciously near the bicycle racks and fled the area in a pickup truck. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Elevator trap

On Friday, Oct. 6, at 12:54 a.m. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded to the report of a party trapped in an elevator at Centennial Towers. Campus Safety released the party from the elevator. No injuries were reported. Facilities Management was notified.

Underage drunk

On Friday, Oct. 6, at 2:15 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol in the 2100 block of E. Asbury Avenue when he observed a party who appeared to be intoxicated.

An on-scene investigation revealed that the party was an underage and intoxicated DU student. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
