Wet concrete on car
On Thursday, Sept. 21 at 8:25 p.m. a DU student reported a substance on his personal vehicle which was parked in parking lot E.
A Campus Safety report revealed the substance appeared to be drying concrete.
The student was able to completely remove the substance from the vehicle. No damage was reported. Risk Management will be notified.
Hit and run
On Friday, Sept. 22 at 11:30 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a hit-and-run traffic accident in parking lot 304. An on-scene investigation revealed a vehicle driven by an unknown party struck a parked vehicle belonging to a DU student.
Minor damage was reported. The student was advised he could file a report with Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
More car crud?…nope
On Saturday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m. a DU student reported a suspicious substance on her vehicle which was parked in parking lot 111.
An on-scene investigation revealed the substance was not believed to be suspicious. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Students dispose alcohol
On Saturday, Sept. 23 at 12:10 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a suspicious odor coming from a residence hall room at Centennial Halls.
An on-scene investigation revealed seven underage DU students were in possession of alcohol.
Campus Safety supervised the disposal of the alcohol containers. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Gate arm broken
On Saturday, Sept. 23 at 9:26 p.m. video surveillance revealed that two males broke a gate arm in parking lot N.
Campus Safety contacted the suspects who were identified as DU students.
Campus Safety repaired the gate arm. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Bike assembly incident
On Sunday, Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an injured party at Centennial Halls.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student was assembling a bicycle in her residence hall room when she injured he finger.
A friend of the student transported her to Porter Hospital for medical treatment.
Drunk student
On Sunday, Sept. 24 at 1:54 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an intoxicated party at Centennial Towers.
An on-scene investigation revealed the party was an intoxicated DU student. Denver Cares transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment.
The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Dresser and student clash
On Sunday, Sept. 24 at 1:11 a.m. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an injured party at Centennial Halls.
An on-scene investigation revealed an underage and intoxicated DU student fell and struck her head on the dresser in her residence hall room. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Golf breaks window
On Sunday, Sept. 24 at 11:50 p.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of damaged property at Hilltop Hall.
An on-scene investigation revealed three DU students and an unaffiliated party were playing golf in a in the courtyard. One person hit a tennis ball that broke a window at a residence hall. A DU student was in the room when the damage occurred. Campus Safety and Resident Assistants cleaned the broken glass. Facilities Management was requested to replace the window. Risk Management will be notified.
Elevator trap humans
On Monday, Sept. 25 at 6:54 p.m. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded to the report of a party trapped in an elevator at the Newman Center.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member was trapped in the elevator. Denver Fire Department released the staff member. No injuries were reported. Facilities Management was notified.
Elevator strikes again
On Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 6:30 a.m. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded to the report of a party trapped in an elevator at The Ritchie Center. An on-scene investigation revealed an unidentified party was trapped in the elevator. Denver Fire Department released the party. No injuries were reported. Facilities Management was notified.
Nelson substance abuse
On Monday, Sept. 25 at 11:53 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room at Nelson Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed five underage DU students were in possession of drugs and alcohol. Campus Safety confiscated the contraband. Paramedics transported one student to Porter Hospital for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Bike missing
On Monday, Sept., 25 at 12:25 p.m. a DU student reported a theft at Centennial Towers.
A Campus Safety report revealed the student secured his bicycle to the bicycle rack with an unapproved lock on Wednesday, September 20 at 5:00 p.m.
When he returned to retrieve the bicycle at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21 he discovered it was missing. The student was advised he could file a report with Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
