CIA info session
The Central Intelligence Agency offers an array of opportunities for students and graduates such as its Clerking and Legal Honors Programs.
Agency representatives will discuss what it’s like to work for the agency and how you can put your education to work in this area of government service.

Career panel
Representatives from the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Diplomatic Service will talk about their careers in their respective agencies and how to apply for internship and/or career opportunities. A Night in Naples
An evening of favorite Neapolitan songs, famous Italian opera arias, and Neapolitan food and wineon Thursday.
Come delight in the likes of “Santa Lucia,” “Mattinata” and “Osole mio!” As you enjoy the Neapolitan atmosphere we’ll create in our elegant Old World surroundings.
The concert will end with the Neapolitan favorite Funiculi-funicula, the audience joining in as the chorus. Pizza was invented in Naples, and you’ll find it in abundance tonight. Another Neapolitan treat we’ll offer up is sfogliatella, a flaky pastry with ricotta cheese and candied fruit.
You’ll also be able to sample the wines of Campania, the region of Italy in which Naples is. This event is Thursday, at 7:30 p.m. in the Newman Center for the Performing Arts. Contact newman_center@du.edu for more information.
Anti-poverty campaign
This campaign will include a demonstration on campus Green where the Greek chapters will construct a mock shanty town for child poverty awareness. There will be a guest speaker to speak on the subject of child poverty.

Across Borders
The ‘Networking Across Borders’ event will include a brief seminar for Graduate School of International Studies alumni and students followed by a wine and cheese reception.

Networking strategies

Most jobs are found in the “hidden” job market that’s best accessed through networking. Come to this program to learn and practice networking techniques that can help you connect with the people who may open those hidden opportunities to you. Poundstone concert
Appearing on stage with a stool, a microphone, and a can of Diet Pepsi, Paula Poundstone is delighting crowds around the country on her hilarious national “The Big Picture” tour. There’s a wonderful synergy to each one-of-a-kind two-hour show. Tickets for this event cost $35 and are available through Ticketmaster.com or the Ritchie Center or Newman Center box offices.

Internship session
Directors Nick Muller and Dale Trower from the Corporate Internship Program will give an overview of this program and discuss the application process.

Business Law banquet
The Business Law Society is hosting its annual fall banquet! Come socialize and have dinner with business law practitioners and fellow students.
This event is a great networking opportunity, and our ratio of students to practitioners (in the past) has been extremely good (2:1 – better than any other networking event you’ll encounter at the law school). Seats available to students are limited, so RSVP is on a first come first serve basis.

Security career fair
The Graduate School of International Studies, Sturm Career Development Center, and the Future Security Professionals of Denver are co-sponsoring the Security Career Fair. Students and alumni interested in obtaining career information, internships and employment are encouraged to attend.
Past participants include ANSER, the CIA, FBI, DEA, and U.S. Marshals Service.
