Bad parking
On Monday, Sept. 4, at 9:29 a.m. a DU parking enforcement officer was working in parking lot H2 when he observed a traffic accident.
A Campus Safety report revealed a DU student attempted to park her vehicle in a parking space when she struck a vehicle belonging to an unaffiliated party.
Minor damage and no injuries were reported. Campus Safety completed a report.
Drug bust
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 2:00 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana at Centennial Towers.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student was in possession of contraband. The contraband was confiscated by Campus Safety.
The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Student falls ill
On Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 8:09 p.m. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an ill party at Sturm Hall.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student had a seizure. No injuries were reported.
The student declined medical treatment. Risk Management will be notified.
Literal RESTroom
On Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 4:03 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a suspicious party at Centennial Halls.
An on-scene investigation revealed an underage and intoxicated DU student was lying on a restroom floor. Paramedics determined the student did not require medical treatment.
The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
A few too many
On Thursday, Sept. 7, at 11:25 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an intoxicated party at the corner of East Asbury Ave. and South Race Street.
An on-scene investigation revealed an underage and intoxicated DU student was ill. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for treatment.
The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Big mailstake
On Thursday, Sept. 7, at 7:33 a.m. a DU staff member reported a theft of university mail from the Purchasing Services Building.
An on-scene investigation revealed the staff member discovered the missing mail in a recycle bin. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Drunk and injured
On Thursday, Sept. 7, at 1:13 a.m. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an injured party at Hilltop Hall.
An on-scene investigation revealed an underage DU student had been at a party and drinking when she fell down several concrete stairs.
Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Phantom smoker
On Friday, Sept. 8, at 12:25 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence at Aspen Hall.
An on-scene investigation revealed evidence of marijuana usage. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Underage drinking
On Friday, Sept. 8, at 1:05 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol in the 2400 block of East Asbury Ave. when he observed Denver Police conducting a search of Chi Phi fraternity house.
An on-scene investigation revealed that a number of underage DU students were being served alcohol.
Denver Police Department issued alcohol-related citations. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Near break-in
On Monday, Sept. 11, at 7:12 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a suspicious party at Tri Delta sorority house.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student witnessed an unidentified male attempt to gain access.
The male fled the area prior to Campus Safety’s arrival. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Drunken disturbance
On Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 12:51 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a disturbance in the 2400 block of East Harvard Avenue.
An on-scene investigation revealed the disturbance was caused by an intoxicated DU student. Denver Cares transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment.
The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notifed.
