Menacing message
On Monday, April 24, at 7 a.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of harassment at Craig Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown left inappropriate messages on multiple office message boards. There are no suspects at this time. A Campus Safety investigation is on going.
Purse snatcher
On Monday, April 24, at 2:43 p.m., Campus Safety and the Denver Police Department responded to the report of theft at the Daniels College of Business. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member left her purse in an unsecured office at 1:38 p.m. She returned at 2:40 p.m. and found the purse was missing. Campus Safety and the Denver Police Department completed a report.
Excess aerobics
On Monday, April 24, at 6:05 p.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of an injured party at the Ritchie Center. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student fainted during an aerobic workout. The student reported she was not injured and declined medical assistance. Campus Safety transported the student to her residence hall and completed a report.
Treacherous treadmill
On Tuesday, April 25, at 7:25 p.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of an ill party at the Ritchie Center. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student accidentally fell from a treadmill in the Coors Fitness Center. The student reported he injured his ankle. Paramedic assistance was declined. The student was transported to Porter Hospital for medical treatment by a friend driving a personal vehicle.
Uneasy encounter
On Wednesday, April 26, at 5:30 p.m., a DU student reported contact with an individual that made her feel uncomfortable. A Campus Safety report revealed the individual was coming to the student’s residence unannounced. The student was advised she could contact the Denver Police Department if she felt threatened. Campus Safety completed a report.
Hit and ditch
On Thursday, April 27, at 6:54 p.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of a hit-and-run traffic accident in parking lot C. An on-scene investigation revealed a vehicle belonging to a DU student was parked in the lot on Wednesday, April 26, at 12 a.m. When the student returned to his vehicle at 11 p.m., he found minor damage on the passenger side of the vehicle. The student was advised he could file a report with the Denver Police Department. An on-scene investigation is on going.
Pot bust
On Thursday, April 27, at 11:24 p.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room at Nelson Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed two DU students and an unaffiliated party admitted to smoking marijuana. Campus Safety confiscated drug paraphernalia and University property from the room. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
