Suspicious incidentOn Wednesday, May 17, at 10:13 p.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of suspicious incident at the Kappa Sigma fraternity house. An on-scene investigation revealed no criminal activity had taken place. Campus Safety completed a report. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Residential drugsOn Thursday, May 18, at 3:45 p.m., a DU staff member reported contraband at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed a Resident Director discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia in a residence hall room belonging to a DU student. Campus Safety confiscated the items. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Electronics stolenOn Thursday, May 18, at 4:25 p.m., a DU student reported a theft in parking lot L. A Campus Safety report revealed the student parked his personal vehicle in the lot on Wednesday, May 17 at 4 p.m. When he returned to the vehicle on Thursday, May 18 at 4 p.m. he discovered electronic equipment had been removed from the vehicle. The student was advised he could file a report with the Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is on going.
Intoxicated individualOn Friday, May 19, at 12:20 a.m., Campus Safety officers were conducting a routine patrol in the 2100 block of East Asbury Avenue when they observed an ill party. An on-scene investigation revealed the party was an underage and intoxicated DU student. Denver Cares responded and determined the student did not need to be transported for medical treatment. Friends of the student escorted her to her residence hall room. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Detoxified dudesOn Friday, May 19, at 1:39 a.m., Campus Safety officers were conducting a routine patrol in the 2100 block of East Asbury Avenue when they observed two males. An on-scene investigation revealed one of the males was an underage and intoxicated DU student. Denver Cares transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Staff interferenceOn Friday, May 19, at 8:45 a.m., a DU staff member reported a DU student interfering with staff members. A Campus Safety investigation revealed there have been several similar incidents with this student. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Student assaultOn Friday, May 19, at 1:19 p.m., a DU student reported an assault in the 3200 block of South Broadway. A Campus Safety report revealed the student was struck in the stomach by another DU student. The victim was advised she could file a report with Englewood Police. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Contraband confiscatedOn Friday, May 19, at 11:27 p.m., a DU staff member reported contraband in parking lot H2. An on-scene investigation revealed three DU students were in possession of contraband which was confiscated by Campus Safety. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Harassed studentsOn Saturday, May 20, at 1:50 a.m., a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol in the 2300 block of South Josephine Street when he was contacted by three DU students. The students were in a rented vehicle when eight unidentified males and one unidentified female entered the vehicle. The group verbally harassed the three students. The group fled the area prior to Campus Safety arrival. Campus Safety completed a report.
FlasherOn Saturday, May 20, at 1 p.m., a DU student reported a flasher on the west side of Centennial Towers. A Campus Safety report revealed the student was waiting for a friend on South Williams Street when an unidentified male exposed himself to her. The student will contact the Denver Police Department to file a report. A Campus Safety investigation is on going.
Lost and foundOn Sunday, May 21, at 7:30 a.m., an unaffiliated male reported his unaffiliated daughter was missing. The daughter was later located in the Nelson Hall parking garage. No injuries were reported. The Denver Police Department and the Denver Fire Department were requested. Paramedics transported the daughter to Porter Hospital for evaluation. The Denver Police Department and Campus Safety investigations are on going.
Bike accidentOn Wednesday, May 24, at 6:20 p.m., Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded to the report of a traffic accident in parking lot 103. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student driving a mini bike struck a parked vehicle belonging to an unaffiliated party. The student sustained a head injury and minor cuts. Paramedics transported the student to Denver Health Medical Center for medical treatment.
Indecent exposureOn Thursday, May 25, at 10:44 p.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of indecent exposure in the 2300 block of S. York St. The suspect fled the area prior to Campus Safety arrival. Campus Safety and Denver Police Department investigations are on going.
Indecent exposure 2On Thursday, May 25, at 3:30 a.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of indecent exposure in the 2200 block of E. Asbury Ave. The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody by Denver Police Department.
