Dear Editor,
My name is Sarah Doze and I am from a nonprofit/nonpartisan organization called The White House Project. Our Colorado unit is based in the Chambers Center (the Women’s College). We work to empower women to become involved with politics and running for office. I just wanted to take the time to thank you for your article in the Jan. 24 edition of the Clarion regarding the recent elections of women presidents. By bringing this suprisingly non-publicized piece to the attention of the DU community, you help promote women to think about their place in politics and that it might not be such a male dominated profession after all. Thank you again for your attention to such an important event and if you ever have questions concerning The White House Project and our goals, please feel free to e-mail me.
Sincerely,
Sarah Doze
Just wanted to say thanks for the nice gymnastics article. We appreciate the exposure!
The athletes work so hard it’s nice to see a little publicity.

Dear Editor,
I was very confused by the article in the Jan. 31 Clarion titled “New 8 a.m. classes causes student debate.” The article states that, starting fall quarter 2006, DU will begin scheduling classes which begin at 8 a.m. Ask any chemistry or biology major, myself included, and you’ll find out that many of us have or have had the opportunity to visit Dr. Hornback at 8 o’clock every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning for three quarters of organic chemistry. I’m sure this may come as a shock to business and communications majors, but some of us actually go to class on Fridays, and some of us actually get up early to do so. Quite a concept, I know.
