Pillaging plumbing

On Friday, Jan. 27, at 12:44 p.m., a DU staff member reported the theft of university-owned property.

A Denver Campus Safety report revealed plumbing equipment was taken from several locations on campus.

Denver Police also responded and completed a report.

Three makes a crowd

On Saturday, Jan. 28, at 10:11 a.m., Denver Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of a party stuck in an elevator at Centennial Towers.

An on-scene investigation revealed three DU students were in the elevator. Denver Fire Department opened the elevator door and released the students. No injuries were reported. Facilities Management will be notified.

Elusive electronics

On Sunday, Jan. 29, at 3:35 a.m., Denver Campus Safety responded to the report of theft at Nelson Hall.

An on-scene investigation revealed electronic equipment was taken from an unsecured residence hall room.

The student was advised he could file a report with the Denver Police Department.

Suspicious stranger

On Sunday, Jan. 29, at 3:40 p.m., Denver Campus Safety responded to the report of a suspicious party.

A Denver Campus Safety investigation revealed a DU student was approached by an unknown party at the Evans Chapel on Sunday, Jan. 22.

The party approached her again at the Ritchie Center on Saturday, Jan. 28. Denver Campus Safety completed a report.

The student was advised she could also contact the Denver Police Department to file a report.

Wallet swiper

On Sunday, Jan. 29, at 10:40 p.m., a DU student reported a theft at Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity house.

A Denver Campus Safety report revealed the student’s wallet was taken from her purse which was left unattended while she was attending a party at the fraternity house on Saturday, Jan. 28.

The student will contact Denver Police Department to file a report.

Problems with the ex

On Monday, Jan. 30, at 1:34 p.m., a DU staff member reported that she was being harassed by an unaffiliated party.

A Denver Campus Safety report revealed the party was an ex-boyfriend who has continued to contact her after repeated requests that he stop.

Denver Campus Safetycompleted a report. Denver Police Department assistance was declined.

Useless U-lock

On Monday, Jan. 30, at 11:03 a.m., Denver Campus Safety responded to the report of a bicycle theft at Johnson-McFarlane Hall.

An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student secured her bicycle to the rack with a U-lock on Jan. 2.

When she returned to retrieve the bicycle on January 30, she discovered the bicycle and the U-lock were missing. The student will contact the Denver Police Department to file a report.

Enemy at the gate

On Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 3:45 p.m., a DU staff member reported a broken gate arm in parking lot C. An on-scene investigation revealed a party drove a vehicle into the gate arm.

Video surveillance identified the party as a DU student. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Alarming awakening

On Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 2:44 a.m., Denver Campus Safety, the Denver Police Department and the Denver Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Centennial Halls.

An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party discharged a fire extinguisher as a prank. The party was trespassing on campus and was told to leave. Denver Campus Safety completed a report.

Fireless frenzy

On Friday, Feb. 3, at 2:35 a.m., Denver Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of a fire alarm at Beta Theta Pi fraternity house.

An on-scene investigation revealed that an unknown party pulled the fire alarm which appeared to be a prank. No smoke or fire was detected.

A Denver Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
