Underager gets sickOn Friday, Jan. 13 at 12:30 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol near Shwayder Art Building when he observed a student exiting a bus and vomiting. An on-scene investigation revealed the student was underage and intoxicated and returning from an off campus party. The student was transported to a detox facility for treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Eggs splat on DUOn Friday, Jan. 13 at 10:45 p.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol when she discovered vandalism at The Cable Center. An on -scene investigation revealed raw eggs were thrown on a glass wall of the building. The Cable Center events coordinator was notified. Campus Safety completed a report.
Playground drunksOn Saturday, Jan. 14 at 2:30 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol when he observed two males climbing the fence to the Ricks Center playground. An on-scene investigation revealed that one DU student and one unaffiliated male appeared to be intoxicated and were uncooperative with Campus Safety officers. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Toilet strikes backOn Saturday, Jan. 14 at 9 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a water leak at Centennial Towers. An on-scene investigation revealed a toilet in a second floor residence hall room was overflowing. The water leaked through several first floor ceiling tiles. Facilities Management responded and was able to stop the water from overflowing further. Risk Management will be notified.
Raining beer bottlesOn Saturday, Jan. 14 at 8:57 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a disturbance at Nelson Hall. An on- scene investigation revealed that person(s) unknown were throwing beer bottles from a window of Nelson Hall. Campus Safety conducted a search but no suspects were identified. A Campus Safety investigation is on going.
Caught! Beer handedOn Saturday, Jan. 14 at 9:45 p.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting an investigation at Nelson Hall when he heard a disturbance in a residence hall room on the third floor. A Campus Safety investigation revealed four underage DU student were in possession of alcohol. Campus Safety confiscated the alcohol. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
The herb confiscatedOn Sunday, Jan. 15 at 12:58 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an odor of marijuana on the third floor of Centennial Towers South. Campus Safety and a resident assistant conducting a plain view search of the suspected residence room. No one was in the room, however there was contraband found in plain view. Campus Safety confiscated the contraband. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Passed out on the lawnOn Sunday, Jan. 15 at 10:20 p.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol near Centennial Towers when he was contacted regarding a party lying on east lawn. An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party was unresponsive but had no apparent injuries. Paramedics transported the party to Porter Hospital for medical treatment.
The tangy smell of justiceOn Monday, Jan. 16 a DU staff member reported that between Jan. 9 and Jan. 16 DU staff members have reported the smell of urine in the north elevators in the College of Law. A Campus Safety investigation is on going.
Frat house vandalismOn Sunday, Jan. 16 at 2:30 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of vandalism at the Chi Phi fraternity house. An on scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown broke a window on the east side of the building with a beer bottle. There are no suspects at this time. A Campus Safety investigation is on going.
Drugs on displayOn Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 1:37 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of drug paraphernalia at Centennial Towers. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member was completing a service call in a residence hall room and there was drug paraphernalia in plain view. The paraphernalia was confiscated by Campus Safety. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Chicken game?On Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 4:23 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a traffic accident at the intersection of South High Street and East Evans Avenue. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student driving a vehicle was hit by a DU staff member driving a University-owned vehicle. No injuries or damage were reported. Risk Management will be notified.
All talk, no walkOn Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 10:04 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a verbal altercation at Daniels College of Business. A Campus Safety report revealed on Friday, January 13 at 10:15 a.m. a DU student threatened another DU student. There was no physical violence between the two students. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
