We have an interest story for you to consider. We are helping the Maxfund with a fundraising event that went a little wet and the “lucky mutt strut” was canceled early. We are trying to create a calendar for them and have the opportunity again July 23 & 24. We will be adding contestants to the contest on both days at the Maxfund Facility between 11:00 — 3:00 p.m., regardless of the weather. The studio will be setup inside their lobby or if it’s possible, the pictures will be taken outside against the incredible scenery.

Please help us to make this fundraising event successful by getting out the word. Please publish this notice as is, and confirm the date of publication. With your help, we can save a lot of animals that need good homes.

DENVER’S LUCKIEST MUTTS” CALENDAR CONTEST – SECOND CHANCE TO ENTER!to benefit the MaxFund…

WE NEED MORE FURRY CONTESTANTS!

Thanks to all who came out to this year’s Lucky Mutt Strut, despite the stormy weather! We had a great showing of lucky mutters for the calendar contest, but we still need more contestants!

Local pet photographer, Nicole Howard, put together a “doggy” calendar contest to benefit the MaxFund at this year’s Lucky Mutt Strut. The intent was to photograph as many lucky mutters as possible at the event to appear in her first annual “Denver’s Luckiest Mutts” calendar. It will be a 15-month calendar celebrating the loving efforts of the MaxFund and its volunteers to find homes for so many animals in need.

HOW IT WORKS: Nicole takes photos of all furry contestants, from which 15 will be selected to appear in each month’s full-size photo (and will receive his/her own free calendar). The luckiest mutt chosen for the cover will also receive a free two-hour private photo session with Nicole (a $150 value). Every contestant will appear in the calendar, whether chosen for a full-size month photo, or smaller photos throughout. Some candid photos from the day of the event will also be included. Nicole plans to donate 30% of the calendar entry fees, as well as 6 – 10% of the calendar proceeds. The calendars will be available for sale at the MaxFund and several local pet stores, or at www.nicolehowardphotography.com.

SECOND CHANCE TO ENTER:Nicole will be at [The MaxFund] [Saturday and Sunday, July 23 and 24, 2005, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.]Calendar entry fees are $20 per sitting. A sitting may include up to (2) pets and/or their human(s). Several photos will be taken during each sitting. Each participant will receive a 4″ x 6″ copy of the photo chosen for the contest. Judging will take place the week of August 1, 2005, with the calendars in production by mid-September 2005.
