On Friday, April 8, at about 11:00 a.m., a DU faculty member reported he lost his iPod player outside Sturm Hall. A Campus Safety officer responded and completed an investigation.

Early dismissal

On Saturday, April 9, at about 10:30 p.m., an event at The Cable Center being attended by two different high schools was ended early due to the attendees being disorderly.

Stolen plate

On Monday, April 11, at about 2:30 p.m., a DU staff member reported the rear license plate from his personal vehicle was missing. A Campus Safety officer responded, completed an investigation, and advised the staff member to file a report with the Denver Police Department.

Theater thief

On Tuesday, April 12, at about 8:11 a.m., a DU staff member reported that between March 1st and April 1st, 2005 unknown person(s) stole four music theory discs from his secured office in the Performing Arts Center. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Sick student

On Tuesday, April 12, at about 5:10 p.m., a DU staff member reported an unaffiliated female was ill at The Ritchie Center. Campus Safety and paramedics responded. The female declined medical assistance and left with her father.

Motorist madcap

On Wednesday, April 13, at about 4:30 p.m., a Campus Safety officer reported a DU student was visibly upset after receiving a parking citation in Lot 304, south of the Mary Reed Building.

A Denver Police officer responded and the student paid the citation at Parking Services.

Vandalized vehicle

On Wednesday, April 13, at about 8:35 a.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) vandalized his personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in the 2300 block of South Vine Street.

A Campus Safety officer responded, completed an investigation, and advised the staff member to file a report with the Denver Police Department.

Blackmarket books

On Wednesday, April 13, at about 4:40 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole books from his unsecured residence in Nelson Hall and sold them to the DU Bookstore. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Can you hear me now?

On Wednesday, April 13, at about 5:11 p.m., a DU student reported he lost his cell phone at an unknown location. A Campus Safety officer responded and completed an investigation.

Penrose Pilferer

On Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at about 8:15 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole his unattended laptop computer from Penrose Library.

A Campus Safety officer responded, completed an investigation, and advised the student to file a report with the Denver Police Department.

Locker room hijinks

On Thursday, April 14, at about 9:41 p.m., a DU staff member reported alcoholic beverages were present in a locker room at The Ritchie Center. Campus Safety responded and disposed of the beverages.

Jacked backpack

On Friday, April 15, at about 11:00 a.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole her unattended back pack from Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Campus Safety recovered the back pack and returned it to the student.

DVD drama

On Friday, April 15, at about 12:03 p.m., a DU staff member reported that between March 21 and April 14, 2005, unknown person(s) stole DVD’s and audio equipment from a secured office in the Performing Arts Center. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

DU DUI

On Friday, April 15, at about 2:05 a.m., an unidentified caller reported a traffic accident in the 2200 block of East Evans Avenue. Campus Safety and the Denver Police Department responded. There were no injuries, but Denver Police arrested a DU student for a DUI.

Underage intoxication

On Saturday, April 16, at about 2:47 a.m., an RA reported an underage DU student was intoxicated and ill at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Campus Safety, paramedics, and the GRD responded. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for treatment.

Greek gag

On Saturday, April 16, at about 2:44 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) broke a window to the Chi Phi fraternity house. A Campus Safety officer responded and completed an investigation. Facilities Management was notified.

Broken glass

On Saturday, April 16, at about 9:09 p.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) threw a glass container out of a window at Centennial Towers. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Fire in the Hall!

On Saturday, April 16, at about 9:30 p.m., a fire alarm was activated at University Apartments. Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded. The fire department’s investigation revealed the alarm was caused by smoke from a dirty stove. There were no injuries or damage to the building.

Officer Down!

On Sunday, April 17, at about 1:07 a.m., a Campus Safety officer injured himself at The Ritchie Center. Paramedics responded and treated the officer on location. Campus Safety management was notified.

Damaged dumpster

On Sunday, April 17, at about 1:30 a.m., a Wackenhut staff member reported unknown person(s) vandalized a trash can in Lot 103, north of Centennial Halls. A Campus Safety officer responded and completed an investigation.
