Busted with fake IDs

On Saturday, Jan. 29, at 9:15 p.m., an Argus Security staff member reported three underage DU students were in possession of counterfeit ID cards and two of the students were drinking beer at The Ritchie Center. Denver police confiscated the ID cards and told the students to leave the building. The incident was referred to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition.

Vandalized vehicle

On Sunday, Jan. 30, at 3:08 a.m., a Campus Safety officer reported a DU student’s personal vehicle was vandalized while it was parked and unattended in the 1900 block of East Iliff Avenue. The student was advised to file a report with Denver police.

Hookah confiscated

On Saturday, Jan. 29, at 12:35 a.m., an RA reported a suspicious odor coming from a residence in Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded and confiscated a hookah pipe. The incident was referred to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition.

Drunk at Halls

On Sunday, Jan. 30, at 1:29 a.m., an RA reported an underage DU student was intoxicated and ill at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety, paramedics, and the GRD responded. Paramedics contacted Denver Cares and a Detox van responded and transported the student to Detox for observation. The incident was referred to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition.

Sodexho cash heist

On Monday, Jan. 31, at 10:11 a.m., a Sodexho staff member reported unknown person(s) stole money from an unsecured cash drawer at Driscoll North. A Campus Safety officer responded, completed an investigation, and advised the Sodexho staff member to file a report with Denver police.

Bad permit

On Monday, Jan. 31, at 12:20 p.m., a Campus Safety officer reported a vehicle belonging to a DU staff member displayed a counterfeit parking permit while it was parked and unattended in Lot L, north of the College of Law. Parking Services had the vehicle towed off campus.

Foiled bandit

On Monday, Jan. 31, at 3:35 p.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) attempted to steal a secured DVD player from the Performing Arts Center. A Campus Saftey investigation is ongoing.

Hit-and-run

On Monday, Jan. 31, at 6:25 p.m., a Sodexho staff member reported a hit -and-run traffic accident involving a Sodexho vehicle in Lot 302, west of Driscoll North. There were no injuries. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Thieving children

On Monday, Jan. 31, at 9:50 p.m., a DU staff member reported two children attempted to steal his laptop computer from an unsecured office in Driscoll South. Campus Safety responded and was unable to locate the suspects.

Dubious notes

On Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 10:21 a.m., a DU staff member reported an unaffiliated male sent suspicious letters to several DU staff members. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Bad checks

On Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 2:25 p.m., a DU staff member reported an unaffiliated male wrote several bad checks at the DU Bookstore. A Campus Safety and Denver police investigation is ongoing.

Backpack hijack

On Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 7:50 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole his unattended backpack from the Ammi Hyde Building. A Campus Safety officer responded and completed an investigation. Denver police assistance was declined.

Vandalized vehicle II

On Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 8:40 a.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) vandalized a university vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot 306, south of the Mary McFarlane Building. A Campus Safety officer responded and completed an investigation.

Vandalized vehicle III

On Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 7:07 a.m., a Campus Safety officer reported minor damage to a Campus Safety vehicle while it was parked at the Campus Safety Center. Campus Safety management was notified.

Oozing white drip

On Thursday, Feb. 3, at 12:15 p.m., a DU student reported a white substance dripped onto his personal vehicle while it was parked in Lot N, under Nelson Hall. A Campus Safety officer responded and completed an investigation. Risk Management was notified.

Stolen bag

On Thursday, Feb. 3, at 4:49 p.m., a DU staff member reported that between Jan. 31 and Feb. 3, 2005, unknown person(s) stole an unsecured bag containing personal property from a locker room in The Ritchie Center. A Campus Safety officer responded and completed an investigation. Denver police assistance was declined.

Gate malfunction

On Thursday, Feb. 3, at 5:15 p.m., a Campus Safety officer reported a gate arm in Lot O, east of Olin Hall, came down prematurely and broke off on a Campus Safety vehicle. There was no damage to the vehicle. Parking Services was notified.

Hockey injury

On Thursday, Feb. 3, at 10:11 p.m., a DU staff member reported an unaffiliated adolescent male was injured while playing hockey at the Ritchie Center. Campus Safety and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the male to Swedish Medical Center for treatment.

Rough game

On Thursday, Feb. 3, at 10:11 p.m., a DU staff member reported another unaffiliated adolescent male was injured while playing hockey at the Ritchie Center. Csmpud Safety and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the male to Swedish Medical Center for treatment.

Another hit and run

On Thursday, Feb. 3, at 11:40 p.m., Denver police reported a DU student was involved in a hit-and-run traffic accident in Lot 301, west of Driscoll South. A Denver police investigation is ongoing.
