Burned food alarm
On Saturday, Jan. 15, at 3:30 p.m., a fire alarm was activated at Nelson Hall. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded. A fire department investigation revealed the alarm was caused by burned food in a kitchen area. There were no injuries or damage.
Visit to Detox
On Sunday, Jan. 16, at 12:46 a.m., an RA reported an underage DU student was intoxicated and ill at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety, paramedics, and the GRD responded. Paramedics examined the student and determined he should be transported to Detox for observation.
Marijuana misusers
On Sunday, Jan. 16, at 10:20 p.m., an RA reported an odor of marijuana coming from a residence in Centennial Towers. Campus Safety responded and confiscated drug paraphernalia from the residence. The incident was referred to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition.
Lost and found gun
On Sunday, Jan. 16, at 1:18 p.m., an unaffiliated male reported he found a firearm behind University Apartments. The male stated he gave the firearm to a friend. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
DUI arrest
On Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 2:18 a.m., a Campus Safety officer reported a DU student was involved in a traffic accident in the 1800 block of Buchtel Blvd. and arrested by Denver police for a DUI. The incident was referred to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition.
More marijuana
On Monday, Jan. 17, at 9:52 p.m., an RA reported an odor of marijuana coming from a residence in Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded and identified the occupants of the room. The incident was referred to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition.
Stolen car radio
On Thursday, Jan. 20, at 11:38 a.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) broke into his personal vehicle and stole the car radio and personal property while it was parked and unattended in Lot 111. A Campus Safety officer responded, completed an investigation, and advised the student to file a report with Denver police.
Vandalized window
On Friday, Jan. 21, at 3:15 a.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) vandalized a window at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing. Facilities Management was notified.
