Israel Film FestivalAn Israel fiml festival will be held every Wednesday night from Feb. 2 to March 2 there will be a different modern Israeli film shown in Lindsey Auditoruim in Sturm Hall. The films start at 7 p.m. This is the first Israel film festival sponsored by Center for Judaic Studies and the Institute for the Study of Israel in the Middle East at University of Denver.

Piano recitalThere will be a piano recital tonight from 7:30-9 p.m. Larry Glenn, tenor and Theodor Lichtmann, piano. Hamilton Recital Hall. Free admission with DU ID.

Jazz NightA jazz concert will be held tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. in Gates Concert Hall. Free admission.

Artist Faculty Recital. A faculty recital will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Hamilton Recital Hall.

Li’l AbnerLi’l Abner will perform Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Sun. at 2:30 p.m. performed by the Lamont Opera in the Hamilton Recital Hall. Free Admission.

AskimboFriday, Askimbo, a jam/alternative rock performer, with guests Demon Funkies & Freak Street Project will be performing at the Soiled Dove at 8 p.m. The show is for 21 years and older and tickets are $6.

Chasidic reggaeSaturday, at 8:30 p.m. in the Sidelines Pub, Chasidic reggae star Matisyahu will perform a free concert for students. Student band Stars on the Ceiling will be the opening act.

Epitaph Tour: Matchbook RomanceThe Epitaph Tour will perform Sunday with Motion City Soundtrack, From First To Last, The Matches will be at the Ogden Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m. and show starts at 8 p.m. $14

Actors WantedThe Denver Rep. Theatre will holding auditons for an upcoming play. Auditions will be held Sat. Feb. 12 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Callbacks well be held on Feb. 13. The performances will run from April 1 through May 15 on Friday and Saturdays. They are looking for people to play a male high school student. The Denver Rep. Theatre is producing a play called Starter that was written by DU Alum Jeffrey Wolf. It will be directed by Michael Starks.
