Distressed damsel

On Friday, April 16, at 12:20 p.m., a DU student reported an unaffiliated construction worker harassed her while she walked passed the Women’s College construction site. Campus Safety and Denver police responded. The worker was replaced by the superintendent.

Caught red-handed

On Friday, April 16, at 3:05 p.m., a DU staff member reported an unaffiliated female was caught shoplifting in the DU Bookstore. Campus Safety and Denver police responded. Denver police issued the female a citation for shoplifting.

Found laptop

On Friday, April 16, at 10:20 p.m., a DU student reported a book bag containing a laptop computer was found in Penrose Library. A Campus Safety officer responded and recovered the items for safekeeping pending notification of the property’s owner.

BB gun found

On Saturday, April 17, at 3:45 p.m., a Campus Safety officer reported a BB gun was inside a vehicle that was parked and unattended in Lot 310, west of the Boettcher Center. The vehicle was being towed for numerous outstanding citations. Denver police responded and confiscated the BB gun.

Traffic accident

On Friday, April 16, at 11 a.m., a DU staff member reported a traffic accident involving a university vehicle by the gas pumps at the Ritchie Center. There were no injuries.

Swinging signs

On Sunday, April 18, at 7:21 p.m., an unaffiliated adult female reported a sign hit her in the head while she was walking in the 2000 block of East Asbury Avenue. The female’s spouse drove her to Rose Hospital for treatment.

Sick at school

On Monday, April 19, at 10:35 a.m., a DU staff member reported a DU student was ill at Sturm Hall. Campus Safety, Denver Fire Department and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for treatment.

Bird poop?

On Monday, April 19, at 4:10 p.m., a DU student reported that on April 17, a white substance dripped onto his personal vehicle from the ceiling of Lot N leaving a permanent stain. A Campus Safety officer responded and completed an investigation.
