Blood drive
The University of Denver and the Bonfils Blood Center will hold a blood drive Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Driscoll Ballroom. It is recommended that those wishing to donate blood eat and drink before doing so.

Michael Moore asks ‘where’s my country?’
ACADEMY AWARD winner for the documentary “Bowling for Columbine,” Michael Moore will be speaking at the Magness Arena in the Richie Center tomorrow at 7 p.m. His lecture is titled, “Dude, Where’s my Country,” named after his new book. This event is sponsored by the Special Programs office.

Columbus Day dialogue
THE NATIVE American Law Student Association will be presenting “Columbus Day: Government Hate Speech?” tomorrow at noon at the DU Law School, room 255.
The event will be a dialogue with Professor Glenn Morris, chair of the department of political science at CU-Denver and Professor Tink Tinker, professor of american indian cultures and religious traditions at the Iliff School of Theology.

Living Dead visits DU for 3 nights
ALPHA EPSILON Delta, the prehealthcare profession organization on campus, will be sponsoring “3 Nights of the Living Dead” with the first lecture tomorrow at 6 p.m, at the Boettcher Auditorium.
Dr. Phil Danielson will give an overview of forensics. The event will continue the following Wednesday evenings, the 22nd and 29th.

Last chance for International Film
The Starz Denver International Film Festival will be finishing on Sunday, Oct. 19.
The festival includes new international feature releases, independently produced fiction films and documentaries, animation, experimental works, children’s programs and short subjects.

Peruvian culture featured
The International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) will be featuring a foreign film from Peru this Friday as part of their International Film and Culture Series. The film will focus on Peruvian culture.
The Peruvian Vice Counsel Ramiro Silva will be at the International House, located at 2200 S Josephine, to introduce the film and answer questions. Cultural refreshments will be served.

National Geographic film at IMAX
The IMAX Theatre at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science is featuring a documentary on the explorers Lewis and Clark called “Lewis & Clark: Great Journey West.” This is a National Geographic film and distributed by Destination Cinema, Inc. It will run until the spring of next year.
