THE SCHOOL of Communication will be hosting an advising fair Oct. 31 from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Mass Comm Building in room 113.
If you are unable to attend, make an appointment directly with the School of Communication in your area of interest.
Registration materials for communication and journalism majors are available now in the Mass Comm main office.

THE OFFICE of Student Programs is now accepting nominations for the 2003-2004 Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities.
If you would like to nominate your peers for this national honor for outstanding juniors, seniors and graduate students, please visit http://www.du.edu/stuprograms/awards.html.
Who’s Who recognizes students for scholarship with a 3.5 minimum GPA, participation and leadership in academic and co-curricular activities, citizenship and service to the DU community and potential for future achievement.

Make a difference
The Rishel Beacons Mentoring Program is looking for volunteers who want to make a difference.
Volunteers will meet with a 6th grader from Rishel Middle School on a weekly basis for 45 minutes during the school day to work on either math or reading/writing and test-taking skills.
In addition, once a month volunteers will meet with the student and their family at a social event.
This program has been proven to positively impact students’ grades and to boost their self-esteem.

The Department of Campus Safety invites students, staff and faculty to join in the annual “Safety Walk” and tour the campus to point out safety hazards in the community.

Wesley Clark speaking at DU
Presidential Democratic candidate Wesley Clark will be speaking in Sturm Hall Auditorium at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31.
The event will be sponsored by DU Center for Public Policy and Contemporary Issues. Seating will be limited. For information, call 303.437.2935.
Following the speech, there will be a special reception at 2:45 p.m. in the Gallery in Driscoll Center North. A $100 contribution is required to attend the reception.
