David Horowitz comes to campus

David Horowitz will be speaking about media coverage Wed. Oct. 1 at 6:30 p.m. in Gates Auditorium.

It is sponsored by DU-Law College Republicans, the Federalist Society, the main campus CRs and students for Academic Freedom. The event is free and open to the public.

Blood drive held

The University of Denver and the Bonfils Blood Center will hold a blood drive Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Driscoll Ballroom. It is recommended that those wishing to donate blood eat and drink before doing so.

Free jazz concert

June Swaner Gates Concert Hall in the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts will be hosting the Lamont Ensemble Concert Series Oct. 6. at 7:30 pm.

The University Jazz Ensemble, Lamont Jazz Ensemble and Lamont Jazz Orchestra will perform. The Newman Center is located at 2344 E. Iliff Ave. Admission is free.

The Pomegranate Seed

The Eating Disorder Center of Denver is hosting an Open House and performance by award winning folk singer Cosy Sheridan.

“The Pomegranate Seed” is a musicalogue in two acts which explores appetite, body image and myth. The concert will be held Friday from 7-9 p.m. in Sturm Hall Auditorium.

Michael Moore returns to DU

DU students, faculty and staff are invited to attend “Voices, Voting and Democracy,” the first in a series of diverse speakers.

The Academy Award Winner for the documentary, “Bowling for Columbine” will be speaking Wed. Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. in Magness Arena. Moore spoke at DU last year about his documentary “Bowling for Columbine.”

Tickets are available beginning tonight at the Special Community Programs office or the Community Action Program office.

Approximately 2,000 free seats will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets can be purchased at the Richie Center Box Office. General public tickets are $10. For information, call x12360.
