On Wednesday, Aug. 6, at about 10:30 a.m., a DU staff member reported an unaffiliated male was harassing her via telephone at her office in Wesley Hall. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Laptop stolen

On Wednesday, Aug. 6, at about 8:45 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole his unattended laptop computer from the Chi Phi fraternity house. Campus Safety investigation is ongoing. Denver police was notified.

Impounded car

On Thursday, Aug. 7, at about 5:20 p.m., an unidentified caller reported a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle wanted by Denver police in a fatal hit- and-run accident was parked in Lot 107, west of University Apartments.

Campus Safety responded and confirmed the vehicle did in fact fit the description. Denver police was notified and responded. The vehicle was impounded by Denver police.

Broken window

On Thursday, Aug. 7, at about 9 p.m., a DU student reported a vehicle parked and unattended in Lot H-2, south of Cherrington Hall, had its rear window smashed. Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Sleeper found

On Tuesday, Aug. 12, at about 7:15 a.m., a DU custodial staff member reported another custodial staff member was found sleeping in a residence at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded. The staff member’s supervisor was notified.

Damaged car

On Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 3:16 a.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) vandalized his personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot 316, west of Sturm Hall. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation. Denver police assistance was refused.

Keys yanked

On Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 8:29 a.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) stole a set of unattended university keys from Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation.

Wallet taken

On Wednesday, Aug. 13, at about 3:45 p.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) stole her wallet from her unsecured purse at the Daniels College of Business.

Campus Safety responded, completed an investigation, and advised the staff member to file a report with Denver police.

Sorority intruder

On Thursday, Aug. 14, at 2:59 a.m., Campus Safety reported a door at the rear of the Delta Gamma sorority house was open. A search of the house revealed that an unidentified person was inside but ran out during the search. Denver police responded but officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.

Stuck in elevator

On Monday, Aug. 25, at about 9:10 a.m. a DU staff member reported that another staff member was stuck in the elevator at the Schwayder Art Building. Campus Safety and Denver police were able to get the party out of the elevator without injury.

Damaged car

On Friday, Aug. 29, at 6:17 p.m., an unidentified caller reported a vehicle was vandalized while it was parked and unattended in Lot W, south of University Apartments.

Campus Safety responded, completed an investigation, and advised the vehicle’s owner to file a report with Denver police.

Car stolen

On Monday, Sept. 1, at 12:13 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole her personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot H-1, south of Cherrington Hall.

Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation. Denver police was notified.

Gate crash

On Tuesday, Sept. 2, at about 9 a.m., Campus Safety reported the gate arm at the entrance to Lot K, west of Driscoll North, came down on a vehicle entering the lot.

The gate arm scratched the vehicle. The vehicle was driven and owned by a DU staff member.

Party arrest

On Tuesday, Sept. 2, at about 5:20 p.m., Denver police reported two DU students were arrested at their residence in the 2400 block of South Gilpin Street because of loud party complaints.

Campus Safety did not respond to this incident.

Dumb freshman

On Wednesday, Sept. 3, at about 12:35 a.m., a Graduate Resident Director reported an underage DU student was intoxicated and ill at Johnson-McFarlane Hall.

Campus Safety and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital for treatment.

Stuck in elevator

On Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 12:04 p.m., three DU students reported they were stuck inside the elevator to Lot L, north of the College of Law building.

Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded. Denver Fire Department rescued the students without incident or injury. The elevator was taken out of service pending repair.

Bike pilfered

On Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 7:21 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole her bicycle from a bike rack at The Ritchie Center.

The bike was secured with an inappropriate locking device. Campus Safety responded, completed an investigation, and advised the student to file a report with Denver police.

On Friday, Sept. 5, at about 3:15 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) vandalized his personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in the parking lot of the Sigma Chi fraternity house. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation. Denver police was notified.

Illegal alcohol distribution

On Saturday, Sept. 6, at about 4:15 p.m., Denver police reported that on Sept. 3, at about 11:20 p.m., three DU students were ticketed for selling alcoholic beverages without a license at a residence in the 2100 block of South Gilpin Street.

Obtaining alcohol illegally

On Saturday, Sept. 6, at about 4:15 p.m., Denver police reported that on Sept. 3, at about 5:40 p.m., an underage DU student was ticketed for attempting to obtain an alcoholic beverage in the 2100 block of South Colorado boulevard.

On Saturday, Sept. 6, at about 4:15 p.m., Denver police reported that on Sept. 3, at about 5:40 p.m., a DU student was ticketed for giving false information to a police officer in the 2100 block of South Colorado Boulevard.

On Saturday, Sept. 6, at about 4:15 p.m., Denver police reported that on Sept. 3, 2003, at about 5:40 p.m., an underage DU student was ticketed for procuring alcoholic beverages and false ID in the 2100 block of South Colorado Boulevard.

On Saturday, Sept. 6, at about 4:15 p.m., Denver police reported that on Sept. 3, at about 5:40 p.m., an underage DU student was ticketed for “obtain by other method-alcohol” in the 2100 block of South Colorado Boulevard.

On Sunday, Sept. 7, at about 8:30 a.m., a DU student reported two unidentified males stole her cellular telephone from her residence at Johnson-McFarlane Hall.

Campus Safety responded, completed an investigation, and advised the student to file a report with Denver police.

On Tuesday, Sept. 9, at about 2:15 a.m., Campus Safety reported a DU student’s vehicle was vandalized while it was parked and unattended in the 1800 block of South High Street.

An investigation was completed and the student was advised to file a report with Denver police.

“Stolen” carOn Thursday, Sept. 4, at about 12:16 a.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole his personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot N, underneath Nelson Hall. Campus Safety and Denver police investigation is ongoing.

Campus Safety investigation revealed the vehicle was not stolen but parked at a different location by the owner.
